My name is Rich Marshall and I am the Thrive Guy.

I was born in Portland, Oregon but don’t remember much about Portland. My sister was born 19 months after me in Anaheim, California. In 1976 we moved to San Jose and that is where I grew up.

It was in San Jose that I met the love of my life Cecelia…..we were introduced by my sister, and we are one of those impossible stories everybody didn’t think would last because we met and married in 6 months time. As a matter of fact, one of my wife’s father’s friends told my wife at our wedding that he gives us 6 months. LOL! That was nearly 15 years ago.
Together we have 3 wonderful children.

Our oldest is a boy who loves sports, especially skateboarding. Next is a daughter, her interests are art and girl scouts. Her room is pink!. Our youngest girl just turned 2 in October 2007 and she is a spit-fire. Our home is a lot of fun!

I spent 10 long years in the car business and quickly moved up the ranks from a front line sales guy to the Finance Department to Finance Director. I spent a couple years in Finance before being promoted to New Car Sales Manager. That is how I ended up in Colorado…I was recruited from California to help open a new store in Colorado as the New Car Sales Manager.

While I enjoyed the six figure annual income it was not worth the toll it took on my family. Working nights and weekends, I never made it to my kid’s school or sporting events. I was providing the nice house, nice dinners out, and fun toys, but I wasn’t spending the quality time a family needs.
