Local Love & Original Oakland Charm...

About Me

VISIT OUR ONLINE STORE! (click to be re-directed)
OAKLANDISH is a hybrid company offering apparel and other merchandise that celebrates "local love & original Oakland charm". Proceeds from sales go to:
1. support a unique Summer calendar of free cultural events in local public spaces.
2. promote the "Oakland Innovators Award", which offers financial rewards to pioneering community groups.
3. produce a series of multi-media projects that illuminate local history, such as our annual zine publication and informative web content.
Since 2K the campaign has taken the form of: downtown digital slide-shows of local legends, wheat-paste posters of folk heroes in negative urban space, liberation drive-in free pirate movie theater, a tight website, a popular line of gear & merch, and the recently *closed* Oaklandish Gallery & Culture Lounge. We've got fresh events all year long, and a new webstore, so come and get in on the local love...
