London circa '63 - '73. Minimalism. Hedonism. 1920s. '70sglam a la Marc Bolan + Ziggy Stardust. Clouds.Fog. '60s sewing patterns and altering/making clothes. Legumes. Modern art. Architecture (Victorian, Art Deco, Bauhaus). Being outside and dirty - camping, hiking, generally showing Californian roots. Glamming it up. Gorgeous smiles. the here and now. Quality over quantity, unless it's quality, then quantity, too. Good conversation.

I'd like to meet:

People who laugh. Seriously. Not to say just those who laugh seriously, if you're wondering. I'm open.

Music:

Whatever moves me. Call it '60s-blues-rock-soul-r&b-psychedelic, electro-funk-dance-dance-dance, DAVID BOWIE, T.REX, soul, opera, The Kinks, Suede, Françoise Hardy, new romantic, experimental, classical (romantics and modern),loud, modern, brilliant, Pulp, Bauhaus, Roxy Music, Beck, music with creative beats, melodies or moods, with string arrangements and/or full-on orchestras, with handclaps, with wurlitzers, with sexy saxes, with wit or kooky humor, live Aussie music in NYC, music from the underground!..

Television:

The best entertainment is outside the box (no, really - NYC life = entertainment). But that being said - the TV's good for old Dr. Who tapes (Tom Baker & Jon Pertwee!), Eddie Izzard, '60s movies on DVD from C., music footage/videos, cheesy programming with campy effects, documentaries, educational programming, the Simpsons... Probably other shows I haven't seen, too. And also others I get nostalgic for, like Jem, Jim Henson & Hanna-Barbera programs, Ab Fab, Buffy, the Vampire Slayer...

Books:

Anything recommended to me and always works by: Oscar Wilde, Katie Burgess, J. Camera, Martin Amis, Edward Gorey, Shakespeare, Ian McEwan, Anthony Burgess, Neal Pollack,...; books: Moonage Daydream, Quant by Quant, La Metaphysique Des Tubes, The Unfolding of Language, America (Daily Show book), The Alchemist, La Nuit des Temps, Girlfriend in a Coma, The Life of Pi, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, Blood And Glitter, How To Be Happy Dammit, In Cold Blood, The Mother Tongue, The Hours, Tous Les Hommes Sont Mortels, Stranger In A Strangeland, Into The Forest, L'Etranger, Tale Of The Body Thief, 1984 and...

Heroes:

David Bowie, Mary Quant, my brother,
