RMX has had his day listening to the classic sounds of The Beatles and Deep Purple. All mixed together these beats would open the love of Phish sending RMX on a touring run between 1996 and 2004. RMX would follow Phish around threw most of the Mid-West. But always bringing the case of mix tapes for the parking lot.
In April 1999. After being hired to play a weekly gig, he then dubbed himself RMX. Playing at all sorts of events from basement jam sessions, to his first large scale event, "Even Furthur" in September 1999. At that same event, RMX was the first to bring CD djing to the Mid-West underground scene.
In October 1999 with the help of way too many teachers and different influences, RMX branched into the realm of techno. Adopting the deep dark sounds of Oliver Ho, Adam Beyer, and Cari Lekebusch. Keeping in touch with reverse sounds and grinding industrialized techno beats.
In 2000, RMX joined with a few Southern Wisconsin crews. Promoting and representing for crews like Raverworld and Plantations. In 2001 RMX would create a crew called Ronin Alliance.
Ronin would dedicate itself to throwing underground afterhour events. With a crew of over 20 djs along with 20 promoters, Ronin, even though short lived, did go on to throw some very insane events and afterhours.
Threw the past three years, RMX has been attacking crowds with beating compressed techno. His sound has developed into a darker more aggressive style. Full compressions, extreme bass lines, and banging beats. With BPM limits leveling out around 148, techno has become the one true sound of RMX.
In June 2006 RMX along side Tony Kasper launched ARL, www.abductionradiolive.com, a webradio stream dedicated to the underground sound. ARLs 24/7 stream involves over 100+ resident djs/artists with cross promotion from both local and worldwide production companys. ARLs sound of techno, house, & minimal, has grown over the years to add breaks and drum'&'bass. With a huge datebase of mixes, live pa's, and studio tracks, ARL has branched out threw the past years to bring live webcasts from private, club, & full scale events.
The 24 hour webcast has made a change in 2008. RMX & Mindbender flipped the ARL format to bring you live shows. Crews from all over the midwest, South America, & Austrialia helping support ARL to bring you weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly shows. ARL has been moving forward to support the underground music and its community.
A new set by RMX is due to be released by 2009.
