I have learned time and time again (thanks… I finally get it) that the only person you can count on is yourself. You can't control another person’s behavior, or keep your heart safe from hurt when others abuse your love and kindness. Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people every day, but that can only bring you down if you allow it to. Happiness is a decision; but you can choose to be miserable just the same.
