About Me

Drive, an Australian dance outfit, produces dance tracks which often attract the praises from many DJs stating their sound has a refreshing musical approach. Hailing from Melbourne, brothers Toni & Vas Lozanovski have been immersed in the music scene most of their lives, and started collaborating together in 2002 to form Drive. Their first release was nothing short of epic and saw them land the coveted Sure Single of the Month in DJ Mag and broke into the DJ Mag charts at 16 with The Beat Goes.
These two brothers come together perfectly to create music because of their understanding of different disciplines in music. Toni, an accomplished guitarist, has played in various rock bands from the age of 19. After hearing Rhythm is a Dancer (Snap) in the early 90s, he became inspired to create dance music. With over 10 years DJing experience and a degree in Music technology from the Victoria University of Technology, Toni’s strength lies in producing, and his sharp attention to detail. In addition to Drive, Toni also directs music for fashion parades, creates soundscapes for various websites and writes with numerous musicians and vocalists. He is also part of a three piece acoustic live act known as The Eventual Contenders.
Vas began DJing at the tender age of 16, progressing to become one of Melbourne’s most coveted DJ’s. Having played in Ibizia under the Monkey banner, Vas exclusively compiled and mixed Monkey On The Loose - Ibiza, Spain. This tribal house compilation CD charted to No.10 in the widespread Sanity dance charts upon the first week of its release. Vas has a reputation for highlighting the more avant-garde musical realms and going beyond the restrictions of typical club music. Entertaining and educating is the key to Vas One’s unique DJing style, and knowing what ultimately sets the crowd rocking guarantees his Drive tracks will get that same response. In early 2005 Vas alongside Myke Ireland launched Saturday Sessions... a late night radio show on Melbournes JOY 94.9 FM. Now known as Vinylizm, the show reeled in week after week of talented guests like: Habersham and Numinous, Phil K, Tom Neville, Groove Junkies, Sister Bliss, Chris Meehan, Ozzy LA, Granite & Phunk, Rob Care, etc, etc... and now continues to be Melbournes most happening "Live" Saturday night dance show.
Toni and Vas continual hard work has paid off, with their latest progressive house offering, Stay, been picked up by No Smoking Recordings. Officially released on the 15 May 2006, this track featuring the sweet vocals of Luci Arundel, has already had some great feedback from respected DJs as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Anthony Pappa, Perry O’ Neil and G-Pal to name a few.
With Drives aim of continually being on the forefront of dance music and creating quality tracks, they surely won’t disappoint.

NOTE: Friends in myspace world, just wanted to let you all know that not all the tracks in the beatport player are ours.
’Damn My Soul’ and ’Distributor’ are not our tracks.
Don’t get us wrong! We love metal, we just don’t produce it.
Cheers DRIVE
