About Me

I am a singer/songwriter who took forever to start performing in front of people. I started by doing a few open mics and joined with a couple of girls to form "Lyric Cinema" which lasted a couple of years until everybody went their separate ways to pursue other goals. My husband and I formed a duo and still played the odd gig. By this time I had been bitten by the performance bug and wanted to continue but the thoughts of starting from scratch with different people wasn't so appealling. I picked up a bass player and two former members of "Lyric Cinema" and formed "The Rusty Pickups" a couple years ago, after a request to play at the Peace-A-Chord festival. The intention was only to play the festival but about a week after, I was asked if the band would play a gig. I reluctantly accepted because we had a songlist of only six tunes. Before we knew it, we had an entire show put together. We don't play as much as we used to because we all have other jobs and are pretty scattered at the moment. But we will be returning real soon.
