One Nation is a traditional Native American women drum group. They are from different tribes that are apart of the Wabanaki Confederacy, which consists of the Passamaquody, Maliseet, MicMac, and Penobscot. The women of One Nation met at the University of Southern Maine in Portland Maine. They have been together now for 3 years. The songs that they share are very traditional of both the Wabanaki people and of Native people as a whole. One Nation shares their music and traditions at awareness, multicultural, educational, and political events. They have just finished their first CD and are looking forward to their future endeavors.
