The High Plane Drifters

Debut Album Out Now

About Me

Hello to all, welcome to the High Plane Drifters MySpace. We are a Psychedelic Garage Blues two piece from the North East of England
Our debut LP titled "Georgian Ghosts, Archer Street Blues and The Candy Factory" is now finally available to buy after many set backs. The record is available to buy online from the Don't Tell Clare Webshop
www.donttellclare.co.uk/shop.htm
Alternatively you can order our releases from all good record shops or contact us directly and we'll see what we can do.
Our first "Hot Property" e.p is now out of print but if you try and order it from your local record shop you might get lucky as there may be a few remaining copies at the Cargo Distribution Warehouse. We still have our second e.p for sale and it features Johnny Walker from the Soledad Brothers on one cut, and on the flip side there are two tracks by Dooley Wilson, an excellent slide blues player from Toledo, Ohio who will knock you flat. If you want it you will have to move fast as it is selling quite rapidly, it costs just £4 for tracks, a bargain!!.
If you want to join in the fun then pop us a mail, give some comments, tell your friends about us, invite us to your town, or if non of the above are applicable then please buy our records.
If you want to know more about us then we say again, just get in touch! We're always looking for gigs and opportunities to release more records.
God bless you all

Band Website: thehighplanedrifters.co.uk
Band Members: Timothy James Oxnard (Guitar and Vocals)Wesley John Stephenson (Percussion)
Influences: I think we have more influences than we can shake a stick at!!
Sounds Like: We like to refer to it all as Psychedelic Garage Blues music, although we also attempt to stick as many ideas into the pot as is possible, without keeping within personal boundaries too much, sprinkle a little freeness maybe? compose it into a piece of aural painting and Bob is your Uncle!Turn it up loud and beat it hard with a stick, lovingly of course to try and recreate the thunder of God. I think we'll stick to refering to it as Psychedelic Garage Blues music as that is our mystery, though meltdown is never far away.
