About Me

Make your own Banner Here!
I love my three sons and my wife, I love the work I am doing. As the Grateful Dead said oh so long ago, "what a long, strange trip it's been", but that's where the fun comes from. I am a Licensed Local Pastor with the United Methodist Church. I will be submitting my final paperwork for Ordination next year in December. I have been appointed to the Gooding, Shoshone, and Richfield United Methodist Churches, where ministry is going wonderfully. My family and I have been very blessed to be a part of what is happening here. I have three wonderful sons, two of whom still live with us, and a lovely wife. Life is good.
p.s.: I love playing the little games that can win me a free laptop or ringtone. I got a hole in one once.

My Interests

Music, Outdoors, Politics, Good Food, Theology, not necessarily in that order. A really good, expensive cigar once in awhile.

I'd like to meet:

Most of all, I'd like to meet Jesus, that's just a matter of time.

I'd like to meet friends from anywhere, anyone with similar interests.

Myspace Cursors

Music:

All types of music (okay, I don't really like Country), although I'm partial to Christian Music. Mainly Blues, Jazz, Metal and Hardcore, and Classic Rock. But if you see me with a guitar, I'm usually playing blues or jazz.

Movies:

Action Movies, Historical Drama, good Science Fiction, good Comedy (f.y.i. that generally doesn't include Adam Sandler). I love the really bad Godzilla flicks. I love James Bond (but some of the guys who play Bond are lame), The Matrix Trilogy, I love the Star Wars series(?), Dogma (Kevin Smith is genius), Indiana Jones... Oooh I almost forgot Time Bandits.

Television:

Anything with CSI in the title. M*A*S*H. Jay Leno. Old Gilligan's Island.

Books:

C.S. Lewis is probably my favorite writer. I also like N.T. Wright, Thomas Oden, Karl Barth, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Reinhold and Richard Niebuhr, Henri Nouwen... the list goes on and on.

Heroes:

Jesus.
My dad, my mom. My wife and kids.
People who have changed the world around them for the good. People who want to change the world around them for the good.
