To those who know me, welcome back and to those who don't know me... Hi it's nice to meet you. My name is George Smed, I live in Lima Ohio but I was born in Cincinnati and lived there for 30 years. I am a father of 7 wonderful children. Zakk, Shane, Taylor, Sebastian, Hannah, Ryan, and Lennon. I have a wonderful woman who really helps guide me through life and set me straight when I start to make a left turn. Oh yeah and two cats named Moose and Snow.
I was writing and recording music since around age six. My favorite band was KISS and I drove my mom and dad crazy with KISS stuff. Now I get to do it to my girlfriend and kids. I played trumpet and other brass instruments throughout school but guitar and bass were what I wanted to play. I am an only child so I had plenty of time to practice, so much time I spent most of my days alone playing music without much interaction with the world outside. I still find it weird and uncomfortable talking to people.
I've led your typical wanna be rock star life. Sponging off the girlfriend, making babies, not holding a job for more than six months, unmotivated and lazy and I'm sure I've pissed off quite a few people.
Now I work for myself as a house painter and love spending time with my family. When I get an itch I'll sit down with my bass and scratch it every now and then. This page is just a small collection of music I have written and recorded. Some of it good and some of it bad, although that remains the decision of the listener.
