Mortal Repent

About Me

Mortal Repent, formed in Burbank California, 1986, began life as a punk rock band. However, as a result of their many influences, they rapidly expanded beyond punk rock, experimenting with different sounds and styles. They, like many of their late 80's peers, grew representative of the hybridization of Punk, Goth, and New Wave and became part of what would later come to be known as "Alternative" rock. The band broke up in 1990, but they have remained friends over the past decade and a half. In April 2005, after seeing the recently reformed Bauhaus and their now legendary performance at the Coachella Music Festival, decided the time was right to reform the band. 20 years later, they are working on their first "proper" recording, due out late 2009.
