great. just great.

About Me

I'm married, and I've learned that when my wife's not around, I tend to forget all about television, and then kick myself later for not having watched it. Even though some people might say that it lessens the collective intelligence of a society, I say that television can relax humanity enough to prevent us from all killing one another. Therein lies the purpose of television: a device that unifies us, and brings us closer together as a people.

Oh, and I write blogs. MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

(in no particular order) sleeping, eating, "snuggling" with the wife, reading, jogging/hiking, and listening to satellite radio.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet anyone so obtuse, that they would put blind faith above everything else in their lives, and worse yet, be so convinced that they are so in the right, that they would impose their faith on others for no reason than because they believe their "supreme" being told them to. I would like to meet them, and know where they live, and who they live around. So I know who to avoid and where not to live.

Music:

Nirvana and NIN (still) Tranquility Bass (the only album they put out), spacetime continuum, aphex twin (always), photek, quantic, joy division (again), future sound of london, ladytron, mudhoney, the vaselines, prick, and zero7. Oh, and I found the video to perhaps my all time favorite song... very thought provoking (at least I think)..... width="425" height="350" ..

Movies:

Whatever shows up in my mail from my... account. My... Netflix account.

Television:

Oh, who needs it anyway? Not when I get everything I want to see on netflix.

Books:

The Dark Tower Series by King, Dune and subsequent original spinoffs by Herbert (sr.), Choke and Diary by Palahniuk, The Historian, and whatever else I can think about. OH, and Rapid Intrepretation of EKG's because reading it makes me sound smart :)

Heroes:

I don't really worship anyone. Sorry, can't help you here...

LIFE AND THE PRIME DIRECTIVE. (edited&mildly expanded)

Living by the Prime Directive isn't necessarily a bad thing, if you think about it. There can sometimes be harm in interfering with more primitive life forms, and sometimes a level of harm can evolve ...

a diversion into my personal life

Dammit. So, here's the story: I went to a coffee shop I frequent (not the one with the retarded barista; It's a different one). Anyhoo... I found this coffee shop (actually, they call themselves a tea...

Retarded People Shouldn't Be Making Coffee.

Where do I begin? For starters, I can say that I think that the woman working behind the counter (the one who made my mocha) might be retarded. She sounds like it, and her face is structured in such a ...

Jesus Camp/worshiping pictures of the president

I've never posted more than one blog a day (if that...) but I thought you'd all get a kick out of this. It's entertaining on the one hand, and scary on the other..... width="425" height="350">..>...

My wife cancelled her myspace account and here's why!

I know what you're thinking: she cancelled it because I'm a jerk. It's because I posted some goofy comment on her web site. An offensive picture implying something about, say, her cooking with a capti...

9/11 tribute

So, I committed to something a few months ago, and I've decided not to follow through with it. I was supposed to write an obituary to someone who died in the world trade center. Unfortunately, I'm not...

My new job...

So, I started a new job recently. At a bigger hospital, in a bigger city, and in an entirely different field of nursing altogether for that matter. My first day of orientation was on Monday, and right...

I'm a real blogger now, because I've been tagged...

Yes, this is my first time being tagged, so bear with me as I revel in some of the excitement... Now that that's done, here's six weird/creepy things about myself: 1) I used to never leave messages on...

please entertain me for a moment.

I typically don't do this, but I'm posting a political blog. someone on my friend list posted it, and it seemed interesting, something worthy of reposting, if only for discussion and nothing else...
