About Me

I am who I am.. doing what i can to maintain my integrity in a society that requires cash to survive.... i like to play records in public, make others move and feel good, agitate/advocate for positive change, break laws (generally in the name of liberation, expropriation, transportation and communication), explore abandoned buildings and other forbidden places, cook/eat good wild foods, experience new things, encounter new points of view, travel, and generally live life to the fullest....
when i work it's with "mentally ill" adults in a non-profit residential setting and "they" are dope..... some of the "realest" people i've ever had the pleasure of kicking it with..... for some reason i relate better to crazies than i do to the "average" corporate american consumer....
i want to build libertarian, anti-state communism from the ground up and i love networks of mutual aid.. stealing and sharing.. creating and exchanging... hooking people up and getting hooked up.. open bars and free meals... squats, free stores, swap meets, libraries, guerilla gardens, action camps and intentional communities....
i'm an anarchist who believes there is no one right way to live, but who sees sustainablity in the diversity and adaptability that economic and political decentralization and local autonomy allow... i see the global economy as a bottleneck in the evolution of cultures, social systems and human civilization as a whole...
i look to the ability of thousands of diverse indigenous tribes/cultures to coexist (though not always peacefully) and survive for tens of thousands of years to remind myself that if there is such a thing as "human nature," it is survival, not greed....
Dr. Aulbach says i'm "spiritual" because i feel that i am as much a part of the organism that is my community, my environment and my universe as my liver is a part of the organism that is me... i don't think the synapses in my brain are much smaller than the space between you and me, especially when you consider the spaces between planets, and/or electrons... egotism is a misunderstanding of scale and relation... i believe we are the sum of our social and economic relationships and i try to make mine as positive, inspiring, diverse, loving, and sustainable as possible...
i believe that there is truth to be found in contradiction, or the synthesis there of....
i've lived in detroit, indianapolis, chicago, minneapolis, rome italy, south florida, bed-stuy brooklyn and now i call bloomington indiana home... i've never stayed in any one place too long, but I try to never rule any possibility out.. i try to jump at the opportunities i'm presented with, and i try to live without regrets...

My Interests

my friends, my dogs (all animals), love, (com)passion, and revolution.. trespassing, transcending the division between destruction and creation, and finding truth in contradiction... trains, travelling, getting respect and love, the library, having too many records but never having enough, getting closer to my food sources, liberating myself and supporting those who want to liberate themselves, building networks of mutual aid, and having fun while working towards sustainability/justice/ harmonious entropy....

I'd like to meet:

people down to build long-term sustainable networks of mutual aid... specifically i'd like to develop a dynamic, yet sustainable, non-profit, collectively-run organic farm (and orchard)/human (and animal) sanctuary/free school/advocacy center/community... but i'm always looking for any new interesting characters and points of view to share a part of this journey with....

Heroes:

i'm not down with the concept of heroes--the cult of personalities... but i've got mad respect for everyone who struggles for liberation, and attempts to live fully in each and every moment.... and of course i've got respect for all those who struggle to preserve their sustainable indigenous cultures, and those who strive to develop their own cultures of compassion/sustainability...
