Deforestation is the major cause of global warming. Take Action Now!

About Me

Screene.com: Myspace Backgrounds Individuals have international duties which transcend the national obligation of obedience. therefore (individual citizens) have the duty to violate domestic laws to prevent crimes against peace and humanity from occurring." --Neuremberg War Crime Tribunal, 1950Anything I say would limit the full spectrum of my being.... Aah, time to add a little. I'm a pacifist. I fight for the underdog. I endeavor to live a spiritual life (it's hard, being Irish!) I love to read and I have a huge book collection. I also love fashion and have clothes strewn all over my room because the closets in the whole house are all taken (I have a closet alone for coats and jackets.) I love being around people and having debates. I love music, dancing and going to shows, especially Trail of Dead shows. I was born in Dublin, Ireland, grew up in England, and have travelled to such places as France, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Guam, Saipan, Hawaii and Canada, maybe more. I spend way too much time surfing the web. I have moved to Austin, Texas from Olympia. A big heartfelt thanks to all of you who have made me feel so welcome! What an incredibly great place....I am becoming alarmed at the precarious state of our planet and am educating myself in order to do something about it. We need to take action now because Earth cannot sustain this many people at this level of consumption. The damage may already be irreversable. If you do not wish to be a clueless clone that believes the government run and heavily censored mainstream media, you can start by reading some articles in the alternative news site below. The future of our children is in your hands.www.countercurrents.orgON A LIGHTER NOTE, CHECK OUT MY SON'S BAND!http://www.trailofdead.com

Your Birthdate: September 15
You take life as it is, and you find happiness in a variety of things.
You tend to be close to family and friends. But it's hard to get into your inner circle.
Making the little things wonderful is important to you, and you probably have an inviting home.
You seek harmony with others, but occasionally you have a very stubborn streak.

Your strength: Your intense optimism

Your weakness: You shy away from exploring your talents

Your power color: Jade

Your power symbol: Flower

Your power month: June What Does Your Birth Date Mean?

I'd like to meet:

Genuine people who love life, have a sense of adventure and a compassionate nature. Children of Light. Saints and shamans. Hippies and poets, fellow Trail of Dead fans. Musicians and munchkins. People who like a good laugh but also have a concern for the state of the world. People who love all races, treat animals kindly, and take action toward social injustice. And last but not least....my relatives on the other side.People I DON'T want to meet: Liars, cheats, warmongers, dark spirits, mean spirited people, selfish greedy people, arrogant or intolerant people, snobs, ignorameses, and smellies.

Music:

...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead; some other Austin favorites (there are many more:) Black Angels; The Black; I Love You but I've Chosen Darkness; Explosions in the Sky; Knife in the Water;) Arcade Fire; Mogwai; Clann Zu; Thrills; My Chemical Romance; Cure; Jane's Addiction; Sonic Youth, Fugazi; ACDC; Gino Vanelli; Elton John; Meat Loaf; Air Supply; Kate Bush; Abba; Enya; Beatles; The New; Coldplay; Bright Eyes; ATDI; Ozzy; Genesis; Rush; Yes; U2; Pearl Jam; Nirvana; Linkin Park, Blue Oyster Cult, Depeche Mode, Celine Dion, Prince; Pete Gabriel; Vangelis; Mike Oldfield; Steve Hillage; Talking Heads; CCR, Led Zeppelin; David Bowie; Moody Blues; Hilary Hahn; Yo-Yo Ma; Bach; Mozart, plus classical, international, oldies, and many more... Movies:

Elvita; Amadeus; Old Yeller; Enter the Dragon; The Constant Gardener; The Trueman Show; Amelie; He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not; Pirates of the Caribbean (anything with Johnny Depp actually;) Lord of the Rings trilogy; Trainspotting; A Beautiful Mind; Angela's Ashes; Ghost; Seven Years in Tibet (anything with Bradd Pitt actually;) Hamlet (anything with Mel Gibson!); City of Angels (anything with Nicholas Cage...;) Mya's Bell; Sid and Nancy; Gone With The Wind; Bye Bye Birdie; Oklahoma; Blue Hawaii (I love the lame Elvis movies;) South Pacific (I love all the old musicals...;) all the Beatles movies; Metropolis (sp?); a Beautiful Mind - that's just off the top of my head: I like musicals, romance, biographies, historical movies, indpendent and foreign movies, too -especially French. And independent movies. I know I'm missing a lot but I can't remember the names of most of them. I also like the Life channel movies based on real stories.

Television:

Oh yes! When I have days off work and feel lazy I spend the day watching reality court shows! I love the Eastenders, All My Children, South Park, Family Guy, Friends, Seinfeld, Simpsons, Everyone Loves Raymond, King of Queens, and Jerry Springer, to name a few. And stupid reality shows such as My Big Fat Husband, Blind Date, Elimidate, ans stuff. Aren't I just the intellectual? Of course, I love the science and history channel, nature programs, shows about musicians, and British tele (so I can get homesick.) i.e. The Young Ones, Absolutely Fabulous, Fawlty Towers, etc. To anyone who says tele is a waste of time, I say, get a life. Ha ha. Just kidding. But honestly, I do learn a lot from certain programs, and it's a great stress reliever. When I'm alone I have conversations with it. I can't imagine life without tv. *Update for Wil Forbis: Nova, Globe Trekker, National Geographic, Storm Stories, Worlds Apart, okay okay? I only have three channels at the moment..... waaaa

Books:

I'm an avid reader who will read anything of interest that I can get my hands on. Authors I hold in my heart:The Chronicles of Narnia; James Joyce, Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, Dylan Thomas, Conrad Keely, Agatha Christie, Tolkien, Charlotte Bronte, John Steinbeck, more to come. Books in no particular order: Lord of the Rings trilogy, Silas Marner by George Eliot, Watership Down, Jane Eyre, Autobiography of a Geisha; The Cure for Death by Lightening by Gail-Anderson-Dargatz, His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman, Wind in the Willows, White Fang by Jack London, A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson, the Essence Gospels of Peace and From Enoch to the Dead Sea Scrolls compiled by Edmond Bordeaux Szekely. I also love biographies and autobiographies, especially of musicians, easy to read history books with pictures in 'em, stuff about neuroscience, I could go on forever but gotta go...

Heroes:

Truthseekers. Peacemakers. Musicians. Ascended Masters. Firefighters.
