Paranormal Research and Investigation: This is my passion. President and Founder of the Oklahoma Society for Ghost Research (OSGR); Investigator/Public Relations/Assistant Vice President for the Southwest Oklahoma Ghost Chasers (SWOGC).COFFEE!!!: (you don't even know the extent of this addiction....I seriously need 12 steps and a nametag) My favorite drink usually contains chocolate and 4 or 5 shots of espresso...no wonder the ex calls it "mochaine".MY SPIRITUALITY: It is constantly evolving and changing. I'm learning, seeing and experiencing more with every day. Organized religion seriously frightens me.... What lessons are they teaching, anyway? How to be judgmental and irrational to those who are different? Hmmm.... Remember kids...Minds are like parachutes...they only function when they're open.MUSIC: Music was my first true love and has been ever since. I am fortunate enough to sing lead vocals for an AMAZING rock band called ~**SPELL*~~. I joined this band but a few months ago and these guys are INSANELY talented...it's touched my life like never before and I couldn't be happier. We play locally and have a ball together....... :) I used to belong to a band called Thicker Than Water with my ex husband and my brother but that ship has sailed. We still had fun...we still HAVE fun as friends, and I'll remember it always.MY PETS: Lilith, Lexi, Loki, Jilli (or Jilli-Bean), Brewster, Mia, Sophie and Fattycake Turtlenuts....and then there's my black kitty Osiris. :)Most importantly: MY FAMILY: My daughter Calyn, funny, fearless, beautiful, sweet, smart and inspiring...my biggest blessing, my (step)daughter Kimberly ...I didn't give birth to her, but she's mine. She's beautiful, insightful and absolutely brilliant. My (step)son Kevin, serving our country in the Navy...I'm remarkably proud of and scared for him. My parents, Jerry and Gayle....the two most spectacular people I know and the people who allowed me to be my own person. My brother, Quinn....neighbor, my friend, one of my heroes for as long as I can remember and an amazing, talented musician and an awesome Dad. Paige, his lovely wife and my friend. Jake, my nephew, ME in younger, male form and hardest working teenager you'll ever meet. And then there's Taylor...my niece...musical phenom and all around dynamo. My SWOGC family. Staci, Donny, Sherrie, Stan, Ken, Ric, Mike, Jay, and Ian. I am honored and very lucky to work with you all as professionals, but to also call you friends.Last but not least, my friends, brothers and bandmates, the boys from SPELL - Wil, Ronnie, Alan and Brett.....this is the beginning of something beautiful, boys.....I already love you all, think of you as family, and can't WAIT to kick some serious, SERIOUS ass in the future.....I feel privileged, honored and blessed to even know you, much less sing for you. Namaste! These people are the reason my heart beats and the reason my feet hit the floor every morning. :)!
I can't possibly name everyone I'd like to meet, so I'll shorten this up for you.I want to meet enlightened folks....those that are open, honest, and not afraid to be who and what they are. What happens in the dark always come to light.... :)
October Project; Spell; Zakk Wylde; The Darkness; Sheryl Crow; Boston; Queensryche; Roison Murphy; Imogen Heap; Pantera; Alanis Morrisette; Kaki King; Sarah McLachlan; The Eagles; Ani DiFranco; Dada; Tori Amos; Alice In Chains; The Wildhearts (one of the most underappreciated bands in the industry!); The Used (thanks to my daughter); Thicker Than Water, Black Label Society; Soil; Godsmack; Nashville Pussy; Murderdolls; NIN; Skid Row; Motley Crue; Faster Pussycat; Clannad; Marilyn Manson (he's an awesome showman...) and who made Marilyn who he is? Mr. Alice Cooper....just to name a few. The list goes on and on. And for the record, I'm a HUGE 80's metalhead girl.....the 80's had THE BEST music....what I wouldn't give to have been a part of the L.A. music scene at the time....From Metal to Classical, from Techno to Pop, from Emo to "put a bullet in my head" Country....ANYthing with heart. ANYthing that moves me, regardless of genre, artist, etc. I refuse to put music in a box....It's just got to move me. REAL music lovers respect all forms of music and the musicians who create it.....MUSICIANS AND MUSIC LOVERS!! Check out this link...this kid is a phenom....unfreakingbelieavable!!!
Interview With The Vampire; Shawshank Redemption; Penny Dreadful; Unrest; The Hamiltons; Dark Ride; Gravedancers; Reincarnation; Old Boy; Wicked Little Things; The Abandoned; Seven; Texas Chainsaw Massacre; Night of the Living Dead (and all the zombie goodness that followed); A Clockwork Orange; Lost Boys; To Kill A Mockingbird; The Birdcage; The Amityville Horror (both old and new); The Lost Boys; Silence of the Lambs; The Omen; The Exorcist; Fight Club; The Blair Witch Project (the second one, Book of Shadows, wasn't great, but it had some cool effects); Stir of Echoes; Gothika; Army of Darkness; Evil Dead 1 & 2 (All Hail Bruce Campbell!); THE CROW; Braveheart; Reservoir Dogs; From Dusk Til Dawn; Ringu (Jap Horror); The Ring 1 & 2 (they didn't suck); The Fisher King; Pulp Fiction; RENT; Tombstone; Poltergeist; The Changling; Hook; Kill Bill; Blade I, II and Trinity; Big Trouble In Little China; The Sixth Sense; Bunshinsaba (Jap Horror); Audition (Jap Horror); Ju-On (Jap Horror) the original Halloween; Rocky Horror Picture Show ; The Entity, geez...the list, again, goes on and on. I will say, however, that I freaking LOVE horror films!! The gorrier, the scarier, the more disturbing, the better. They're my favorite.
I watch VERY little television, but when I do, it's usually going to be The Discovery Channel; The Learning Channel; The History Channel; The Travel Channel (Haunted Travels)...those are all great. I despise reality t.v. There's nothing realistic about it. I was a huge Buffy fan when it was on....yanno, before they took it off the air and disappointed all their fans....
Yanno...I really dig the Harry Potter series......I also loved the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice and the Mayfair Witch series by Anne Rice as well. I'm a big fan of Stephen King (his earlier work) and Dean Koontz. I love horror and the occasional biography too. Again...there are too many to mention here.
