About Me

Order ASAP: THE AFROBEAT SUDAN AID PROJECT AND 100% OF YOUR MONEY WILL BENEFIT REFUGEES IN DARFUR RIGHT NOW!
Life is bleak in the Darfur region of Sudan, the site of the world's worst ongoing humanitarian crisis. Since 2002, militia violence and the widespread disease and starvation that follow have left at least 400,000 dead and over 2,000,000 refugees permanently displaced.
ASAP: the Afrobeat Sudan Aid Project (Modiba Productions) has so far raised over $130,000 to fund a efforts on the ground in Darfur to relieve the suffering of the beleaguered survivors. These efforts not only distributes the food, water, and medical treatment so critically needed now, but also offers the economic assistance and education needed to provide the survivors with futures. Read more about Modiba's charitable partners.
The ASAP artists are campaigning with Modiba to save the millions of lives still at stake, harnessing the lyrical consciousness and infectious rhythms that are the trademark of Afrobeat. From the Tony Allen classic "Progress" with the legendary Fela Kuti himself, to Antibalas' call for "Uprising", this is a revolution that dances.
