About Me

I was born in French Hospital, Geary Street, San Francisco. My first home was on a house boat in Waldo Point Harbor, Sausalito. Eventually my Mom And I moved to Oakland Hills- where I went to Martin Luther King Elementary. We then moved to Corona del Mar CA. There I went to Harbor View Elementary, and Lincoln Junior High. I was a very active skateboarder & surfer. I also played flag football, baseball and soccer. I traveled quite a bit as a kid- I have been to Canada, Baja California, Arizona, Indiana, Hawaii & Kenya, East Africa. We moved to Livingstone MT. and then a few years later to Glendive MT. I went to Park County High School in Livingstone and Dawson County High School in Glendive. I was on the football team, the tennis team and also on the track & field team. While attending high school I worked a a photographer for the local newspaper and the student newspaper. I was active in sports, skiing and surfing when I could. I have enjoyed a lot of outdoor activities over the years- like hunting, snowmobiling, mountain biking and especially hot tubbing. I graduated High School in 1986.After graduation I moved in with family back in Orange County and attended Orange Coast College. I managed a bakery on Balboa Island, Newport Beach during this time. I moved to Northern California in the summer of 1987. I worked at Curry Village in Yosemite Park, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, Giant Village in Sequoia National Park, Sequoia National Forest and Independence CA. over the next five years. In 1991 I moved to San Francisco. I briefly moved to Denver, CO. to work in a restauraunt in 1993- starting about ten years of working as a Chef. Over the years I have worked as: a front of the house restauraunt worker (busboy, foodrunner, host), an irrigation hand, a photographer, a photo technician, a porter, a timber surveyor, city works engineer, & a non-profit fundraiser. In San Francisco I really started to enjoy live music and being involved in the music scene. In 1995 I started attending classes at New College of California. I graduated with a BA in Humanities in 1999. Right after graduating I worked for a non-profit providing food to homeless shelters. I moved to Brooklyn, NYC briefly in 2000 and then moved to Oakland, CA. in 2004. In 2005 I took a an extended trip attending a wedding in Vieques, Puerto Rico and visiting friends in Barcelona, Spain. I now work as a facilities assistant in a private pre-K through 12th grade school in downtown San Francisco.
