OK So some of you may know me as Constance, some Connie, some from running around Los Angeles interviewing folks for XM 169 the power, the good ole days of my work with "The BusBoys" or dancing on American Bandstand ... Some from Dillions in Westwood, Paradise 24 , uhmmm have I dated myself yet? Gosh a lifetime of thoughts in 20 words or less ...Most days I will be in many places. A huge multi tasker, I try to stay focused on the big picture of "Live and learn as much as you can every day, don't think anything happens by chance, you are here for a reason, so make sure you leave something worth learning behind." Full circle. What do I do? Though I hate to describe myself by my work ... LOL besides my children, I do live my work because of it's social content.Gosh a lifetime of thoughts in 20 words or less ...Ummm I melt in your mouth not in your hands? ... nonono, way too sexual and open for come backs, I make your heart melt and your mind wonder? nonono to uncertain and wishy washy, ahhhh to heck with it! To know me is to LOVE ME, am I right? So now what ... I edited my profile with Thomas€™ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
BIOGRAPHYConstance Adler-Galloway, born in Chicago but raised in Los Angeles, says “ It’s funny, I will always have an East Coast vibe with folks; I just love that side of the map!” Formally known to many as “That XM Chick,” or The BusBoys “BusGirl”, Constance is now known as Vice President, Director of Talent, and Producer for Murphy Boyz Entertainment. Constance knew from an early age that she was born to be a performer, but she never could have guessed the depth of her talents behind-the-scenes. The joy of pivotal moments during her early career as an actor both guided her and kept her going. Her membership in a well- known youth group gave her a foundation in creative organization, leadership and charity work. With such early passions as a child, Constance naturally went on to earn two degrees in communications with honors, specifically in Film, Television, and Radio, as well as a degree in Theater after returning to college in 2001. Constance dropped out of school in her teens, but decided that if she was going to be a role model for others, especially her children, she had to step up to the plate and provide that example. Returning to school from 2001-2006, she got her degrees not just for her own desire, but to prove to others that education, the foundation of your life, is a never-ending process that lasts forever Constance traces her determination to her Grandmother, who was more like a mother to her and who set the tone of experiencing the struggle wining the battle. Strong and opinionated, she was a mentor and role model and a motivating force in Constance’s life. Constance immersed herself in the entertainment business even before those degrees. At the age of 19, armed with only a smile and the tenacity to make things happen, she started with the “A’s” in the phone book, reached Alan Landsberg Productions and landed a job within a week – the genesis of her behind-the-scenes career. Even then she continued pushing through door she could find, searching for more knowledge about the business of entertainment. Still a performer at heart, Constance never missed a chance to be on camera, if only to stay close to those early burning passions. In 1979 Constance became a regular dancer on “American Bandstand.” A few months later she met The BusBoys, a meeting that would eventually yield benefits beyond her expectations. So taken by the band’s “entertainment quality,” Constance went to a BusBoys performance where she met the band leader Brian O’Neal. In a matter of days, she was on The BusBoys’ team, paving the way to a 10-year career with The BusBoys. Within 3 years, she’d become part of the management team, acting as liaison for Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall projects, organizing and producing administratively the elements that create deals, marketing, touring, promoting and relationships and the foundation of personal hands on-work that she learned from leader O’Neal. Unfortunately, 1990 saw The BusBoys disband, but by then, Constance had made her mark by cultivating a reputation for dedication and loyalty that led her to stay close to many of those with whom she had come in contact, particularly Ray Murphy, Jr. With technology emerging and changing the face of the business as we know it, Constance kept up after leaving Hollywood to start a family in “The OC” by internet consultation work with various music artists that needed creative answers to a changing recording world with the surge of hip hop, rap and indie labels. By the time the new millennium rolled around, Constance had formed an association with actor and performer Rodney Allen Rippey. Eventually Constance became Rippey’s management liaison and producer of his radio show. Between managing Rippey and working at XM Radio as an on-air personality, talent coordinator and producer, Constance finally realized how much influence she could have as a producer and began focusing her efforts in that direction. One of her first profound endeavors – a creation of her friend and mentor Blanche Williams – was bringing a live comedy night to the XM Radio audience. Constance, renamed “The West Coast Eye Candy” by Host Alvin Jones, was propelled into a whole new world of entertainment and creative management, smack dab into the comedy world, a world in which she’d only shared the laughter until then. Before long, the popular segment and night of the week on The Power 169 had comics calling in live from all over the US treating the XM audience to laughter and conversation with pure honesty. Constance began producing full shows when Williams left to pursue her own show’s expansion. Celebrities from every nook and cranny of the business wanted to be guests simply based on the relationship quality and straight-forward nature Constance had learned from those early BusBoys days. Constance and Ray Murphy, Jr. maintained their good friendship and working relationship over the years. When Ray and his childhood friend, Bill Murphy, decided to form Murphy Boyz Entertainment Group, Constance joined them, first as an administration coordinator, then as a producer. She now scouts and manages artists of all shapes, sizes and talents, and she fights for her clients tooth and nail, realizing that persistence is the key that opens doors. Her 23-year friendship with Ray and their combined experience working with name artists from every aspect of the industry, and the delicate balance of egos and demands that must be nurtured, seasoned them both, teaching them to leave their egos at the door and to work for their clients without letting personalities get in the way. “I may be an entertainer in my heart and I understand that side of the coin, but I know my calling as management is stronger to serve the needs of the talents best interest at all times. I get such a rush partnering with an artist and having a vision that you watch grow and evolve. I love creative, talented people I am our Artist’s biggest fan!”
