About Me

In The Industrial Skeleton
~KEEN~
Look, I'll give it to you strait guys. I don't know if we will ever release a CD. There has been alot of feet draging in our some what short history as a band. Right now as we speak someone is draging their feet with excuses and laziness I mean, you wouldn't exspect it to stop now would you? NO WAY! No business any of the time. Motivational ass kicking in your future?
I want you to stop take a second and look in the mirror. Are you draging your feet. Oh look, you found it. There it is........
"Too many Chiefs not enough Indians"
We started recording our first album May of 2004 "The Despairing Tree" at HomeGrown Records in Slippery Rock at a flat rate of $1,000.
It was close to a three year long wait which included years of phone tag (which we are now pros at.) and a burnt down studio in august of 2005. After the fire we thought the recording was lost but it was recovered from the ashes like a sick rankled phoenix in Febuary 2006 still intact, which was then mixed by Malley Branchetti with head phones. Maybe it would have sounded better if it had been mixed over the phone for levels as he sugested that "it's a great way to mix".We were truly unhappy with the mix down and mastering, as well as so tuning issues caused by being green unexperienced simpletons.
Anyways, after several failed trys to get a MeatLoaf remix or wave forms we walked away with moths in our pockets amongst years of therapy in the wake of The Gravy Master, having left and heard better shaped tunes while on the john we decided to except that it was a failed attempt for a first release .
We started re-recording "The Despairing Tree" at Infantry Division Studio in march of 2007. With 6 songs originally on the song list for the HomeGrown recordings. Nevertheless it is still proving to be a long and drawnout project by first conficts of interest and priority and now by the sheer boredom of a process that if undergone by that of normal circumstances would have been done in a month. Supose we were giving birth to this album the kid would be pushing five years old. Have grown teeth starving death and eating us from the insideout; though I'd doubt we have lasted this long. Thus still the Sufferance ~ Ill-lament.
The Release date from Infant. Division. is still yet to be set. Guitar recording problems and all, but by the way things are going in the studio, it may take one more year of recording 3 hours a week, one finished track a month to produce a finished product.
Right now yet far from ear candy, We have managed to finished tracking all the drums and I have to redo guitar tracks on Soft-felt Luck, Orchid Alcohol, CandyGirl and the clean on Chameleon. After that all that is left is bass, vocals and a bunch of mixing, mastering and EQing.-ill lament
The music we have up here is a few we recorded at Groove Captures Studio & a sub MTO song
We are re-recording "The Despairing Tree" at Infant. Div. Studio. with a few new songs. We havent been to Groove Captures since November of 2006 and we still dont the money to finish Element at Groove Captures yet. So as of now we are still in the studio churning the butter and we hope this holds you over till the studio work is done...
ILL: adj. Not healthy; sick
LAMENT: verb. To express Sorrow or grief, mourn
DEAD ON ARRIVAL
Requiem preformed by Jesse Rowan (guitar and vocals), Brad Rowan (bass guitar), Chuck Courty (drums). From the outskirts of Pittsburgh; near the muddy banks of Freeport; ILL-LAMENT, was formed in 2003 in response to a flyer at a local drum center. As a result of seasonal depression Ill-Lament got a response from then mild mannered, Chuck Courty. Who smugly seized the sticks; to be the perpetrator of resonance; behind the percussion in Ill-Lament.
Ill-Lament openly embraces the underground music in this area. Secretly wishing to raise their dead music of an ancient uncivilized, uneducated, culture to the top of the grunge genre with an old fashion Boy Wonder Karate chop. POW!!!!
Playing music that is odd, creative, catchy dark pop with every member adding their own personality to each song. Each song is a point of view, opinion or thought that people may feel or relate to but instead may choose to ignore, avoid or just do not understand. Which is not to the disbelief or dismay of alienated cast of misfits.
With songs jammed packed full of statements that might look good but aren't necessary, Oh, no! Cookie moster is over eating again. Thundercats HO!!! Mork and Mindy are back in reincarnation! As ILL-Lament, with sarcasm of Alf, the sincerity of Charles in Charge and the wisdom of the toosie pop owl.
Sending a thousand chills and a thousand thrills up and down your spine tingling ear ring satisfaction. You are invited on a Silver Spoons train ride, to lyrics so negative you may wonder if the were written in the 90's by a Oscar the grouch himself but yet sometimes so sad, Kermit the Frog would easily be green with lyrical envy.
So come one, come all! Witness the incredible junk yard bass, the non-grandparent friendly cat on a fence vocals and the provocative drum beats.
It was said long ago; in a tower way up in the sky; the man in the iron mask cried with his last dying breath, ILL-LAMENT !!! Ponder this thought. HE WAS ALL ALONE.....
There are bands in this music scene who are still hanging on, talented with their own sound and in the midst of it all is the almighty sore thumb........
Ill-Lament.
