whats up: the ATTACK shack is a musical venue specializing in bringing in regional/national touring bands to the Pittsburgh suburbs for nearly 10 years. We understand that it is almost impossible for a local/national band to get a show around here and we recognize the need for a consistent club dedicated to live concerts. We are committed to giving music lovers a safe,drug free,alcohol free enviroment where people can fellowship and enjoy live bands. Our goal is to make a positive impact on our community. The truth is that there is nothing to do in this area except for shop and work. there are no coffee shops, dances, bowling alleys, arcades or youth centers for the kids to hangout in. We are determined to combat/attack the very boredom that causes so many of these kids in this area to get into trouble. We are here to give them something to do!Previous places we've booked shows: The Dayspring 1998-2005 this was our home until it was torn down. The Tarentum v.f.w. 2000-2007 No joke-the floors began caving in. The House in 2000 great amosphere,Great turnouts,great times. The Dungeon 2004-2005 It was fun while it lasted. In 2002 & 2003 It was known as "the Planet of the apes". The PLanet of the apes was run by A.J.(Path to misery)who single handedly created The current Pittsburgh hardcore scene. He booked some of the biggest bands in modern underground music and he did it in the suburbs. Bands that played at "the PLanet of the apes" include: Underoath / Hopesfall Bleeding Through / Comeback kid / Remembering never / Terror / Seventh star / My Chemical Romance / Atreyu and many, many, many more. it is unbelievable what a.j. accomplished in such a small period of time. This place is legendary to all who are included in the Pittsburgh music scene. Since the planet closed our scene has completely crumbled downhill with an exception of a few local bands.NOW: We have completely remodeled this place and very excited to start serving our community a healthy dose of music and entertainment.
