Here's the proof that I'm an old odd lady stuck in a young woman's body: My idea of a great afternoon is sitting on the couch watching a movie (or listening to music) while crocheting. Or playing a video game and reading. Allright, maybe I'm just a hippie, not an old lady. Didn't ask your opinion on that, now.. did I? :D
I'd like to meet:
I'm only here because I was kidnapped *nods* But since I'm here, might as well point you this way:
Radio KoL
The Kingdom of Loathing - an Adventurer is you!

Music:
Being a musician, I tend to be a bit of a "snob" in what I listen to. My current favorites include (but aren't limited to !) Angie Aparo, Death Cab for Cutie, Ween, Nightwish, Hooverphonic, Neutral Milk Hotel, Modest Mouse, Dispatch, Pinback, Cursive, Jump Little Children, and so on. Basically, if they play it on the radio, I'm not usually down with it. There are, of course, exceptions (such as Three Days Grace, which I've decided doesn't completely suck), and I pretty much despise all pop, R&B, and rap... unless it's rap from the 80s! (because it was still musical then, and ever so amusing!!)However, I will point out I'm not looking to be added by every fethin' band who seems to think they'll get a bloody record deal if they get ALL fo fethin' myspace on their friends list... so unless -I- seek -YOU- out, or you're a friend's band, then DON'T EVEN TRY IT :) (my friend's list has now been added to reflect this 3)
Movies:
I rarely go to the theatre. Why? Because the phones are ringing, children are screaming, and if it's not a comedy, I don't want to hear anyone raise their voice. Therefore, I go about once a year, and only if kidnapped.. like last year :p
Television:
TV = satan. I have no desire to be pulled in by contemporary American "culture", and therefore I buy things I like on DVD, and watch them, commercial free! Smarter th at way, and less personal complexes.
Books:
Read these, now. "The Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan, "The Recluse Saga" by L.E. Modesitt Jr., "The Great Book of Amber" by Roger Zelazny, The Ender books by Orson Scott Card.. anything David Sedaris... I could go on.. books are good *nods*
Heroes:
?? Society focuses too much on having someone to idolize, and usually in fields that I will NEVER understand. So, if I MUST idolize someone, I think I'll idolize Alphonse Mucha and the Pre-Raphaelites. *smiles innocently*
