Music Video - "Manic Depression": Hello again my friends, I am back and with something interesting! This is a music video by a guy with a profile name of "Magic" (url:http://www.myspace.com/artists_in_hollywood). The song is "Manic Depression" and it's a different rendition by an artist named Phil Brown (A video with background about Phil Brown is on Magic's page). This is a cheerful reminder that creative Hendrix art is still understand and spread by various people. Enjoy!

Keep On Grooving- Also titled "Midnight Lightning" and "Lower Alcatraz", "Keep On Grooving" was a... well, groovy jam. It was recorded at Record Plant with possible recording dates of April 16, 1969, May 13, 1969, and May 14, 1970. *Mitch Mitchell is the drummer, and the bassist is *Billy Cox. Full of spunk and humour, this jam was one of my early favorites, and still remains one today. I hope I can pass that on to all of you.

Band: Band of Gypsys or Revised Jimi Hendrix Experience

*Proof: In the beginning where they’re talking, you can hear Billy Cox say "Lower Alabama..." As for Mitch Mitchell, all these recording dates are dates that the familiar version of "Freedom" was recorded as well.

Here’s the basic conversation in the beginning:

Jimi: "La, without all the worries and the bullshit."
Studio guy: "One." (not sure)
Jimi: "Alright."
Billy: "Lower Alabama."
Jimi: "Yeah lower Alcatraz, Yeah lower Alabama."
.....
Jimi: "Ah shit, that’s not how you play it.."
Studio guy: "Get it together."

Props to Kirk for all this info. Thanks!
