Jump on the bed of rebellion and you'll bump your head on the ceiling of authority

About Me

Married for 24 years to a wonderful woman and my best friend. Want to change careers to be able to do something with the creativity that seems to always be "on" in one form or another. I write poetry, songs, and short stories related to my surroundings, the American South. Would love to collaborate with other folks with similar interests on a writing project. Some of my writing is published on the Internet at www.openwriting.com and a web-zine called High Contrast, and at www.editred.com. Hobbies include playing guitar and harmonica, daydreaming, camping, painting, melting glass and making crazy art pieces, drinking and thinking about drinking beer, and pitching horseshoes. I'd like to build a catapult large enough to sling a washing machine 300 feet.

My Interests

writing, playing guitar and harmonica, Big Joe Portagee Annual Goat Roast and Horseshoe Pitching Contest, nimblicity, skiving, cartooning, melting beer bottles in the white hot belly of a fully involved campfire that was built with precision and hand-picked oak logs inside the Circle of Leisure at Rehab Mountain Boy's Club.

I'd like to meet:

Karl Childers, Harry Crews, the ghost who kept my truck (The Pinta) going @ 191,000+ miles (it was one bad ass Japanese mf-er when I owned it), dude who sat on a cornflake, and just about any creative person with a sense of humor about life and this cruel world we live in. Please don't send me any friend requests asking me to look at your pics on another stupid web-meet thing-ah-muh-bob. I'm not here for that. I really don't want to see you naked. The Internet has enough of that stuff, and had Al Gore known it would come to this, he'd have never invented it. I want to meet other people who share similar creative interests. This profile was edited with The CricketSoda Myspace Editor
