Goodbye Summer...Hello Fall!

About Me

Recently, I was interviewed over at Lit Park . It's a great place for writers, publishing professionals and creatives of all sorts.
About SOUTHERN FRIED LATINA:
When Casimara Maldionado leaves her Florida home in pursuit of her advertising career in Atlanta, she thought overcoming the guilt of leaving her Cuban family would be the hardest challenge. Wrong! Five years later, when she discovers that her boyfriend/business partner is sleeping with the office intern, Casi learns the hard way that business and pleasure don’t mix.
Thankfully, Casi can count on the strong ties of her Latin family. Shocked and dismayed, she returns home for Christmas where she finds comfort and support - Cuban-style.
Her mother offers up a dose of Latin revenge suggesting she treat the “SOB” like the pig roasting in the back yard. Her father tells her to move home and everything will be fine. Her aunt puts a curse on her “pendejo ex-boyfriend”, while Casi’s cousin, Jose, comforts her with his recent tale of doomed love. Brenda, Casi’s sister consoles her by asking her to be maid of honor at her upcoming wedding, while her grandmother reads her Tarot cards assuring her that everything will be fine.
That's just the beginning. Join Casi on her journey as she struggles to make her family accept her lifestyle choices while she comes to terms with her heritage and cultural identity.
I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!

Alone at the Ball (or am I?)

My latest freelance project reminds me a bit of Glengarry Glen Ross. While has nothing to do with real estate, it is all about the leads. They guard their "lists" like it's Fort Knox. I don't mind. My...
