sometimes i float 2 the land where songs come from

aquarius with aries rising and moon in capricorn.i have spent most of my life running around as an political activist, grassroots organizer and cultural worker. the past 4 and a half years, i have slowly remolded my identity and my purpose on earth to be a mother. and it is a blessing. my daughter is my greatest political work and creative contribution i could ever have dreamed of participating in. and in slowing down to focus on her, i have been able to slow down and focus on ME...instead of trying to throw myself into the politricks and play a role in changing to block, the community, the city, the state, the country and the world on the outside, i am changing, growing, evolving myself. and in doing so, i am contibuting to the movement from a differnet angle...transforming into a better person, tapping into my personal power, and trying to create a family that will continue to fulfill our unfinished legacy for true freedom for generations to come...and on my spare time, i chill with my people....break bread. talk politics and religion and the future. listen to music. dance till the sun comes up. build on whatever - self employment/jewelry/art/the word. write. hit up open mics. go to the park, the mountains, the ocean. squeeze in time to pamper myself.
