About Me

One of my earliest memories is of singing into my folks' reel-to-reel tape recorder when I was three. I began playing piano at age four, and have loved performing music ever since. I wrote my first melody walking home from junior high on a clear sunny day. I continued to compose throughout my life, but have just started sharing my music.
I am also a novelist and freelance editor, and the very happily married mother of six young children. We celebrate our 20th anniversary this year.

Influences: Many! I don’t sound like all the artists who influence me, but my favorite artists and songwriters include Simon & Garfunkel, Sandi Patty, Amy Grant, and Queen. The lyrics have to resonate somehow, and the singer has to strike a certain chord inside my soul.
Sounds Like: Singers: Sarah Brightman, Olivia Newton-John. Songwriting: Most like Carly Simon, Amy Grant, Billy Joel, & Elton John, with a dash of humor and a healthy dose of jazz chords.
