"Life is ever changing, and it's a comfort to know that when I don't know what the future holds, I know Who holds the future. Recording my debut album has been a real life-journey, and I have so enjoyed getting to this stage. The in-between studio recording stages have been more difficult, but ever challenging. Thanks to the oil industry and the Lord's provision it has taken me from London to Holland, all over Egypt, Tanzania and who knows where next, in order to pay for this album!? The journey began by meeting an amazing fellow Christian who is my producer, Bob Cranham, who has enabled me to follow and fulfill my dream.Recording started in November 2005 and has taken place at Shepherd's Bush, The Soundhouse Ltd, and Eastbourne, ICC Studios. The journey will be completed sometime in 2008, when we go to Abbey Road for mastering, but as Bob keeps reminding me, that won't be the end, it will just be the beginning! So from life's beginnings to life's endings, take a journey with me for a while, enjoy the ride and especially the music, I believe I have something to say, if you care to listen." Yours, Gavin M. Cox..The band members were put together by Bob Cranham (my Record Producer), and includes some of the UK's top session musicians, (including some ex-Brit School), with long and influential careers. In addition I play guitar and piano on a number of tracks, plus all my lead and backing vocals. I wrote the words and music to all 12 tracks that we chose for the album, and Bob has done a marvelous job on the arrangements and has recorded the bulk of the guitar tracks and some keyboard work.Watch these great Fly-On-The-Wall Video Diaries of me, my Record Producer and Session Musicians recording at two of the top Recording Studios in the UK for my most eagerly awaited debut album!!!(Click on the link under my Profile Picture to view all my videos !!)
