Band Members: I walked down the barn floor with a wheelbarrel full of Sawdust. I could hear Grammie in the calf barn feeding, and talking to the heifers. Grandpie was sitting at the end of the entrance way staring out at the field and whistling. We were getting ready to tidy up for the night. I just had to bed down the cows, and scrape the floor. The music made with just a whistle, I remember wondering; How does he make that sound so good. It wasn’t a song I heard before. But, after a couple years I not only heard it on the radio, but Grampie would sing songs all the time. He had such a deep demanding voice. It got your attention. But, when he would sing, I would just stand sometimes and listen. I will always remember wishing: " Man I wish I could sing like that"So, in a small town in "up state New York" My earliest memories were sitting on the tire fender on the old Alice Chalmers with grandpa as he would sing songs like "There never was a horse like the Tennesee Stud". "He stopped loving her today".While plowing or raking hey. As I grew up I learned to love Country Music more and more.I worked on the dairy farm since I was 8 years old, and at the time, I didn’t realize the incredible lessons, and foundations that were being built in my life.My first record was "Smokey Mountain Rain". I would sing my heart out, trying to sound like Ronnie Milsap. So, I guess like many others, I started out with the hair brush in front of the bathroom mirror, like I was singing at the Grand Ole Opre.I had been inspired by Ronnie Milsap,Conway Twitty, Barbara Mandrell, George Straight, John Denver you get the picture...Today there are people that write and perform some of the most incredible things I have ever heard. Craig Morgan, Tracy Lawrence, Toby Keith, Vince Gill, John Anderson, this list is huge. My love for Music is evident to my friends and family. The one thing I wish as evident, was my love for my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. He deserves all the glory for the Gift He has given me. I release this blessing back to him, and I am so humbled to share it with all who listen.I am madly in love with my wife. She is my inspiration, and my motivation. I have the scary responciblity to manage, and attempt to mold the lives of 4 wonderfully intelligent and athletically talented kids, and there is actually one little guy that looks forward to grampa’s "tickle time".I would love a shot in the music industry. But, I guess I live the "American Dream"..........I just want to sing about it.
Influences: First influence is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The first person I want to say that is placed in this influence catagory has got to be a long lost friend of mine. I have not seen him is over 12 years
He is now a Pastor of a church in Montana I miss him so
His name is Pastor Walter Hill, I want take this time thank thank him.
Literally, without his persistant invitation, instruction, and intensity I would have never chose to walk into a church. I listen to him and continued to be amazed at 23 and 24 years old how much knowledge he had then. I can only dream of the knowledge that his church is able to recieve every single Sunday.Walter Thank you, for your instruction, for being a brother to someone who needed that kind direction. I long to talk with you again. My wife is my best friend, she other than God sees every side of me. She is the one that can imulate what God is doing when we may embellish a story (the head kind of spins around a little ) I'm sure you know what mean.
She I Keeps my back straight and my eye front.
I need that.Thank you Denise, you are my connectionBest Influences Growing up
