About Me

Nature B also known as (Jr. Banton) who’s real name is Roland Orr was born on the beautiful twin islands of Trinidad & Tobago, on December 15th,1976. Nature B was raised in “Delaford” Tobago by his grandparents who pushed him to pursue his goals to the best of his abilities. He was very much involved in sports and Fulljoyed playing Football, track and field and swimming which was his ultimate passion. He was considered a “Fish” by the elders for his ability to move & stay under water for long periods. Nature stated that he wanted to represent his country in Olympics but never had the exposure needed. Nature B has a strong academic background where he graduated top of his class then migrated to the United States to pursue his education in Engineering. Nature B recorded his first song called “Sweet Love” with the group AFIRE which was featured on their Cd “Burning Love” cd released in 1997. He then recorded “Soca Music Sweet”, which was produced by the Worlds Famous Calypso Producer Rawlston Charles of Charlie’s Records. The song lead to a Cd compilation “Sweet Sweet Soca” which is one of Soca/Calypso best compilations to date. Nature B continued his movement by recording with Nass T of Traveling Man production which released a single titled “You Weh Mi Want” in 1999. Nature B then linked up with “Sydney Mills” of Steel Pulse and produced the single titled “Princess” which was released under Living Room Studios label.Nature B’s first performed in New York, at Beach Channel High School in Far Rockaway where he opened for Keith Murray in 1994 . Nature B was then given an opportunity to perform at the African Day Festival in Brooklyn in 1996 where he was very well received. His career flourished when Road International Disco (Dj Roy, Chris Dubb Master and Twin Thumb) started giving Nature B opportunities to open up for Capelton, Beenie Man and Lady Saw to name a few at the infamous Q club. Performances continued when he opened up for “Culture, Joseph Hill (R.I.P)” at S.O.B’s. He also did a few performances at Act 3 in the Bronx, New York and other local venues. Nature B’s biggest show to Date was in 2002 at Miami Bay Front Park, where he opened for Sizzla, Bounty Killer and a host of other artists.Nature B had took different approach which led him to record over 60 songs at his house as “Demos” but did not get to re-record them prefessionally and due to the hardships of the musical world he took a break from the spot light. His close friend of many years Sizzla Kalonji saw the lapse and encouraged him, never stop writing and advised him to write at least two songs per day and get back into the studio. Nature B remembers the words that Sizzla told him until this day, “you have to marry the music, show your devotion and speak to the world”, those few simple words encouraged Nature B to begin penning lyrics again. Nature B admits that after such a long break from music it’s even harder than he remembered, but as time progressed the musical vibe flowed naturally once again.Within the last year Nature B has gone back to his birth place of Trinidad & Tobago and linked up Studio 53 Entertainment and recorded a few tracks that include “Rude Boys” on the (Rude Boys riddim), “Where you are” on the (Patience Riddim)”which has a video soon to be released”. The soul drenching “Be Humble” on the (special riddim) “Life is so Precious” on the (precious riddim) just to name a few. Nature B also recorded and the Massive track “Woman like These” on the (Signs Riddim) which explains the pureness and beauty along with the appreciation for his Caribbean women. Nature B does not leave out his women from all over the world because he comes with a powerful demo called “Dem Qualified” a song Uplifting all women, which is still to be released. Presently Nature B is working with Producer/Engineer/Artist Dainjamental of Dainjamentalz USA and feels at home with the love and support that he is currently receiving. So far Nature B has recorded numerous tracks with Dainja and has released “His only Son” a very Inspirational and spiritual song along with the Playa anthem “Old Jezebel”. Old Jezebel is the track for our young youths warning then of a certain type of women who are players themselves in the dark. Another soon to be released is a beautiful collaboration with Princess Menen titled “Hold On”.Nature B not only has songs that reach our youths of today but also songs that speaks to our world and makes them become more aware of societies current issues. Nature B’s track “Identify him Now” represents JAH Rastafari, , The AIDS/HIV Awareness subject “Trod upon Dem Forest”, while “Sperm Donor” attacks fathers who neglects their children . “Dem Judgment, Firm Up, and Me & Mi Woman” are additional tracks that everyone needs to keep their listening ear out for.For future bookings you can make contact in these areas New York at 1-347-418-6778 / 347 742 1790, in Jamaica 1-876-941-7840, and Trinidad 1-868-738-6729/721-5759.
