Asmir Sabic / ChaspaIn ten years of my enthusiastic voluntary and professional work in music, art and socio-cultural field my leading mission is to be part of the movement for the open, economical and social developed, human rights applying society. Why I have this mission and motivation???? My teenage experience was determined by bizarre, brother against brother, war in my neighbourhood, country and region. My own fight for “normal life” started in those conditions. Trough the excavate tunnel that was in that time the only entrance in to Sarajevo under sedge, I pass to participate on 1st. state competition for cadets in karate. I came back with bronze medal and small sport injuries. In Travnik during the war we had music band’s that immediately after war (1996) went out to play in self organized event in devastated gym. hall of Travnik High school( today Catholic School Centre ), sorry if I forget some names, I make some order that respect the age ;) Bezbrizni Rupert, Snure, Grozny, Holocaust, De Over Cant, Amasonas Heads. That was a trigger to gathered creative group of people that in 1998 were creating H.O. Alter Art organization that as only "urban"(I do not like this word but you know that I do not exclude rural with it.) resistance exist even today. Music was always my biggest passion. With high school rock band in 1998. I take part in Tilburg world music festival with more than 50 bands and orchestras from all around the globe. We were rejected for concert cos of our "not normal" name “Holocaust” . In interview we had question was; “do we think to change the name in order to be able to play on the Festival “ our replay was “yes we can change it but only in Srebrenica”. After article was published it raised big question and made people from festival to call us and give us another schedule for playing. The one that we refuse, but still we take part in some TV and radio shows, but with no comments on politic issues, we were only playing our music. On our back home we change our name in to “Alternativa Nova” led by idea that still is possible to make some changes if you make things right. That was I could say maybe for all of us moment we discovered “Freedom of movement”, and “Freedom of Speech” as progress making life philosophy. Interesting coincident is that in the same time (1997/8) all Holland government resigned because of moral responsibility they felt about war crime that was done in Srebrenica on 11.07.1995. In four years back in professional experience that I gain, working as program coordinator in an umbrella organization of local youth NGO’s in Mostar called OKC “Abrasevic” and as a musician in electro progressive rock band “Vuneny” I find my personal interest and love for social work, audio-visual arts and art production as my own life carrier choice. As I had chance to work and meet all you beutiful people in different organizations, companies, festivals, meeting places and dreem worlds that we would create at least for a night or one day, I just could find my self in my memories as smiling person, most of my life time. Thank you all for that...today I am still in movement searching for something that maybe I will not find, or it is just y shadow so I can not see that is already there, but still I see people that care and make life with the smile... Im recently in relation Bosnia - Munchen, working in music meeting people and sharing, as i chose to share this biography with you all..... I have slow computer so do not be angry if i do not replay for long... until we do not meet .. ugodan zivot....ch ps. I take English as International language, I hope no harm is done… ;)
