Who is J. Anthony Roman?
J. Anthony Roman is a fictionist and Playwright in his native land of New York City. At eighteen, he started the theater company New Dimension (1997-2002) He was responsible for 85% of the material produced by the New Dimension Theater. Since then, his work has been put up by The Rebel Verses Festival, NYCollective, Rocketship Theater Company, The Hip Hop Theater Festival, Regroup Theater, and the Ruskin Group Theater in L.A. In 2004 he won the Best Play award at the first 8 Minute Madness Festival for Turtle Shell Productions. In 2006 he won an audience award at the Writer’s Unit. He is also one half of the Search for a Better Tomorrow, a reading series of fiction whose purpose is Literary Entertainment. He has completed two full length plays, a number of one act plays, films, short stories, and a novel, Belated Apocalypse. His full length, Blackouts will have a public reading produced by the Terranova Theater Company on April 29th 2008 @ Collective Unconscious.
