Dr.Walter Leigh Bates TH.D

Dr. Walter Leigh Bates, a 20th century apostle unique and rare, was called of God 34 years ago. He has traveled to over 40 cities and states in the USA, conducting revivals, seminars, workshops, and crusades (one in Bermuda), from 1977 to the present. Dr. Bates is a motivational speaker, conference speaker, prophetic teacher, evangelist, and author of two published books with Life Bridge Books. The first book entitled, “INTERNAL ACHIEVEMENT” was recently released in 2007,the second book, “TWO-SIDED PEOPLE” will be released in 2008. He serves as a staff writer for Anointed Pages Magazine(column article "Balancing The Scale"),and an Executive Board member of the C.O.G.I.C. Men's Perfecting Men's Conference(Director Bishop Darrell L Hines). A dreamer of dreams, Dr. Bates was recently miraculously healed by God of a light stroke. Dr. Bates is the founder and Senior Pastor of Balm In Gilead For All People Church International, established in 1989. It is a multicultural, fundamental, bible-believing church that sits on 100,000 square feet. This 5 building campus houses a 3 level school,3level administrative office building,gymnasium with a commercial kitchen and fellowship hall, residential duplex w/2 car garage,and a grand sanctuary with balcony,a chapel,multiple classrooms in the lower level,with a three car garage attatched.Dr. Bates has been married 32 years to Co-Pastor Delores Bates,the father of three daughters, Adrienne Green, Michelle Gregory-Cook, and Sonia Charmaine Bates-Shumpert. He also has 7 grandchildren.
