Bishop Harold Calvin Ray is the dynamic founder and Senior Pastor of Redemptive Life Fellowship Church of West Palm Beach, Florida. Founded in 1991, the church has received national acclaim for its innovative economic development programs targeted at revitalzation of the inner city.
Bishop Ray holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Oral Roberts University located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a Jurisdoctorate from the University of Notre Dame Law School located in South Bend, Indiana.Formerly Adjunct Professor of Law at O. W. Coburn Law School, Bishop Ray has also served as a member of the Oral Roberts University Board of Regents. A member of the Texas State Bar, the Federal Bar, and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Bishop Ray is a pass member of the Board of Directors of the University Of Notre Dame Law School and past Vice Chairman of the Palm Beach County Juvenile Delinquency Commission. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Urban League of Palm Beach County and is a member of the Board of Directors of The American Red Cross Palm Beach Chapter and CARP.
As Founder and C.E.O. of Redemptive Life Urban Initiatives Corporation (RLUIC), Bishop Ray has aggressively provided transformational economic community development within Palm Beach County. Redemptive Life Urban Initiatives Corporation has developed and constructed the initial twenty-two of a contemplated one hundred and forty five quality homes for low-income residents in the highest impoverished demographic in West Palm Beach, Florida. This demonstrative reinvestment in urban environs is supplemental to the millions of dollars of donations of goods, wares, furniture, clothing, office supplies and technical assistance provided at no cost to low income residents and social service organizations by RLUIC as the largest Gifts-In-Kind Distributor in the Southeastern United States. In addition, under the visionary direction of Bishop Ray, Redemptive Life Urban Initiatives Corporation provides education, entrepreneurial, technical and life skills training to hundreds of residents throughout the South Florida region. Bishop Harold Calvin Ray is committed to the task of directing the transformation of economically stagnated and morally degenerated inner city environments through incubation of entrepreneurial enterprise; mentorship of personal, family and corporate financial stewardship, and implementation of interventional programs designed to enhance and inspire career pportunities within the local community.
In September 1996 Bishop Ray was commissioned to the Office of Senior Bishop of the Kingdom Dominion International Network. In this capacity Bishop Ray is prayerfully coordinating, and overseeing an “apostolic network of churches and ministries on both domestic and foreign soilâ€. Bishop Ray is Founder and C.E.O. of The National Center For Faith Based Initiative, a cross-denominational collaboration of faith-based entities, located primarily in urban environs, targeting the elimination of historic poverty and dependency inducing systems, through the development of self actuating and self sustaining community based economies. This initiative is an unprecedented coalition of religious leaders from urban environments whose sphere of influence through both their TV and direct mail constituency is greater than 80 million persons.
He is the author of twelve books, as well as numerous articles and editorial contributions. He is the loving husband of Brenda Ray and the proud father of two children, Christopher Calvin and Whitney Nicole and the new grandfather of Darrell Jahrel.
