About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor - Image Hosting

Writer of fiction and poetry, often crossing genre boundaries to keep life interesting ... and, because I can.
Author of "Myth to Life: The Rise of Riley McCabe" series. Available at Mystic Moon Press.
The Chronicles of 'P'
My personal motto is: Success lives between your ears. A motto more easily said than continually lived. I refuse to buy into the negative notion that we are only as good as our next … you fill in the blank.
With this motto firmly implanted in my head I shouldn't admit my first passion wasn’t writing. I should merely state I've been writing since the age of ten and lead everyone to believe I was a wunderkind that knew exactly what I was all about from that delicate age. Since I try to leave the lying to my characters, writing didn’t find itself on my top ten list. Frankly, I wanted to be a spy from an early age and a paper trail wasn't going to help with covert operations. I had other ideas about life and its expectations of me other than putting a black Paper Mate pen to a Mead spiral notebook and spilling my mind onto the lined page.
However since I can't see to the end of my days, here I am—a writer who's found a niche in another world ... publishing, putting out work I'm proud of and others will want to read. The following pages represent a small portion of my journey through the labyrinth of writing, a part of the exploration involved when I finally put pen to page and wrote what was in my mind.
A new world opened up and writing took center stage. And, since I believe success lives between your ears, I didn't start with a short story, or a poem, no I went for the big gun and wrote a novel … actually two novels. Oh, what fools we mortals be. I’ll stop here and let you know that I now love writing ... it's what has kept me alive ... kept me sane ... kept me striving for that evanescent moment just out of my reach. So, thither onward mon amis. Let's delve a little deeper and see what path in the labyrinth is revealed for you to read today.
Welcome to my world. I hope you enjoy your time here.

My Interests

Writing, singing, oil painting, reading, photography, gardening. A good hockey game - where else do power plays meet power rock and blood on the ice is a good thing?

I'd like to meet:

Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock and all the men and women behind the scenes creating a new country for freedom-seekers. The Wesley brothers, who penned thousands of hymns. Benjamin Netanyahu, Florence Nightingale, Albert Einstien, Marco Polo, Lewis and Clark, Jean Lafitte, Helen Keller, Michael Flatley

Music:

Evanescence, Sarah Brightman, Nickelback, Daughtry, Breaking Benjamin, any rock where with a stellar beat, a great hook, and a wicked bass that sends shivers down your spine, Celtic Rock - Tempest, Wicked Tinkers, Classical, Contemporary Christian, Kansas, Journey, Boston . . . anything where I can get up from the computer and dance. Tassles and finger cymbals are in the basket by the door if you want to join me and belly dance. Sorry, no rap. I don't really feel the need to be musically Suessified.

Movies:

The original Manchurian Candidate, Rosalind Russell movies - especially Auntie Mame, Fred Astaire musicals (almost any musical), Rear Window, Double Indemnity, almost any production of Jane Austin, The Miracle Worker, spy and thriller adventures.

Television:

CSI, Monk, Criminal Minds, MI-5, Wire in the Blood, Lost, Burn Notice, History Channel, acheological digs - especially Egyptian sites, forensics, documentaries on terrorism, Discovery channel, Mystery/Masterpiece Theater, Project Runway to see if I can out sew them. Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares on BBC. Wow, how do I work in so much television viewing while working and writing books?

Books:

The Bible, Merriam Webster Crossword Puzzle Dictionary, Books by: Anne Perry, Stephen White, Dean Kootz, Ken Folliet, David Baldacci, Agatha Christie, Diane Davidson Mott, Carolyn Hart, Katherine Hall Page, Me? . . . so little time, too many authors...

Heroes:

Jesus Christ - my Lord and Savior. Firefighters, Police Officers, the military who protect us without regard for their personal safety. The thousands of people who go to work everyday without griping while enriching the lives of others and don't expect anything in return except a kind word and a smile.
