About Me

I'm a mother of one who recently came to the conclusion, that I can't expect others to do what I'm not willing to do myself. Please, take the steps with me towards changing our planet for the better. It saddens me when I think how horrible our environment will be by the time my daughter is out on her own. Many parents work long hours, maybe don't have the time, resources, or information to teach their children the right way to treat our planet. I'm taking the steps to teach my daughter now, while she is young, to respect her environment. I don't know all the answers. I'm still learning a lot myself. But I feel better trying, than doing nothing at all. My first goal included putting into place a recycling program at my daughter's school. And it has now been accomplished only with the help and support of all the teachers and staff at CD Brillhart Elementary, especially Mrs. Karen Bachman. Thank you all. I believe schools create a great opportunity to teach and show our kids important ways to treat our planet - our ONLY planet.
Your Life is 84% Green
Your life is totally green, and as far as your environmental beliefs go... your actions do speak louder than your words.
Your lifestyle totally serves as an inspiration to others. Whether you know it or not. So keep it up! How Green Is Your Life?------------------------------------------------------- -------
You Are Grass Green
Down to earth and a bit of a hippie, you are very into nature and the outdoors.
You accept the world and people as they are. You don't try to change things.
You are also very comfortable with yourself, flaws and all.
Optimistic about the future, you feel like life is always getting better. What Color Green Are You?------------------------------------------------------- I'm continually trying to improve my "green-ness" every day. Ask yourself, "What could I do today to be more green?" Just one thing is all it takes to start your own green journey. Start with one change. Do you recycle? If not, maybe that could be your first new green habit. Have you already changed your bulbs throughout your house? This was the first step I took. It was easy. Just replace your old bulbs as they burn out. There are endless "first steps". Simply pick one and run with it. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -I'd love to know how many of you are vegetarians. Please, send me a message and let me know why you chose this lifestyle. I've recently been questioning whether or not to keep eating meat. I would appreciate any advice from others, or simply a different perspective.
