Joe Hotham is a Michigan author and poet born and raised in Detroit's Southside, whom creates within the genres of horror fiction, suspense fiction, thriller fiction, urban fiction, dark poetry, erotica poetry and comics. Joe comes from a writing family with the surnames of Hotham and King being attached, so it was only natural for him to pick up an instrument to write with as soon as he could hold something to write with and unleash his thoughts. By the age of seven years young, he was writing poems, stories and lines for plays. As a teenager he began writing song lyrics. Throughout high school he recieved various awards for creative writing and landed his first published written work while still in high school. To this date he has written hundreds of songs, hundreds of poems and many short stories with most of them now being published in some form or another.
Thus far the words being thrown about to describe his writing style are... natural, mysterious, dark, rebellious, wild and seductive.
Comparisons have been made with the names of the late, Edgar Allen Poe, James Joyce, Jim Morrison and William Blake attached.
He gained his first major United States publishing in 1996 and his first international publishing through Noble House (New York-Paris-London) in 2004.
Joe now makes his home in southeastern Michigan in Monroe county, but remains attached to Ecorse, River Rouge and Southwest Detroit through various charity events and the public libraries in them.
AWAY FROM WORK (PLAY): His free time is spent on other passions such as fishing, street hockey, following Detroit Red Wings hockey, raising Boxers and being a professional truck driver.

WRITINGS:
Dark Poetry collection titled "Of Shattered Self" is in the editing stage.
Short Story collection "Untitled At This Time" is in the first draft stage.
Issue One of the comic series that Joe (Concept and storyline writer) is working on with Michigan band Dendura (Based on) and Belgium artist Helcannen (Graphic artist) is written and turned over to the artist.
