About Me

Below, I've attached some videos that speak to me, describe me, daily ins and out, how I feel. I believe there has already been a song composed for every possible feeling or circumstance you can experience in life. This is what make music so powerful. It's what affirms that your not alone in your thinking, whether right or wrong. I don't always agree with what music says, but you can't excape it's insight into who we are. At least I can't. Also check out my other page Sir Doug's Music. There's a link in my friends list. These are songs that get heavy rotation with me.Cee-lo Green-Originally from the Dungeon Family, the same crew that brought you Outkast, this brother was the 1st one out of the team to push the boundaries in his style and music (even though Andre 3000 is more recognized for it). Gone from Soulful singer/political, black powerhouse rapper to the world renowned uncategorized self created character in Gnarles Barkley, Cee-lo understands the music. With all of this said, he has never abandoned his humble SWAT's (South West Atlanta)beginnings in his life or music, consistanly making music that appeal to the inner most person in all of us. And his flow. Let's put it this way. Assembly your best team and he'll eat em raw. This music is what raised me and Cee-lo and the Dungeon Family kept me from making a lot of mistakes that could have changed my life. Nuf said. Obviously I have a lot of respect for this guy. I present Cee-lo Green.Portishead. Roads. If your not hip to Portishead, go get their albums. If you don't like it, I'll buy it back from you.Kelis feat. Andre 3000. Nobody can touch Andre 3000. Yes Period.Kanye West. Can't Tell Me Nothing. Man, I like this joint! He's saying, all this money I got and I'm still making bad decisions. But as soon as I get enough money, I'm going to rectify all of it. But you can never have enough. That's pretty much what all of us are saying. But your finances are only part of the issue. The issue is us and our habits. He does fall short of a solution, which is submission. Submit your short comings to God. Hey, but Kanye is honest and that's always refreshing to hear in Rap music. That's pretty much what I want out of an artist, honesty. That's powerful!! Album is out Sept. 11th.Gnarles Barkley. Transformer. Cee-lo has consistently pushed the bounderies on music sense Goodie Mob. Pure Talent Uncanned!John Mayer. Gravity. Get the album!Jamie Cullum. One of the Best concerts I've gone to in years! He and John Mayer have to be two of my many favorites!Zion I. Representing Oakland, Zion I haven't dropped a bad album period. This song (So Tall) pretty much sums up my daily walk. This and Mos Def's "Umi Says", maybe Balil's Sometimes also. Anyway, enjoy. One of the best artist to come out in recent years. I've met him a couple of times. Real cool guy. He always kills it at his concerts. He represents the midwest (Dayton, Ohio). If you don't have his 2 cds, go get them. Ladies and Gentlemen, Van Hunt!!Amos Lee-Keep it Loose, Keep it Tight.Blackstar feat. Common. 3 of the realist!Jern Eye feat. Zion I & DJ Platurn.Sade. Cherish The Day. I love this woman!Black Ice. I met this cat a couple of years ago. Talented guy. He cuts straight to it. I don't always agree with what every poem, song or book I enjoy is saying. But if there is more truth than disfunction in it, then I lean toward the truth. I think this needs to be heard.
