About Me

Blackberry Jam formed in late fall of 96. The band has emerged as one of the more eclectic units around merging raw rock with chill-out soul. Originating in Indianapolis, Indiana... founding member Ron "Poncho" Hedrick and his older brother Solar thought of the name "Blackberry Jam". Even before the band name the vision was present. BBJ is committed to presenting a whole new sound based on the diversed attitude the band brings to their music. The group whose core members consist of talented multi-genre music lovers... proves the unique sound of Blackberry Jam is intentional.Being a band such as Blackberry Jam has allowed the group to enjoy a wide demographic of supporters. BBJ's urban mastery puts them in a class of very few. They have played many venues ranging from cozy clubs to large college universities. Not alot of bands are able to touch so many different people the way BBJ can. The musicians in the band are good people who believe in pure music. Through dedication and love for the urban scene...Blackberry Jam is committed to providing its power and finesse to an already great culture.
