About Me

I call myself Osirus because music allows me the chance to live a second life. I love hip hop because it transforms poets into kings.

I was raised in the Santa Cruz mountains, which I wandered extensively as I grew up. I went to college in Claremont, CA, studied in Modena, Italy, and I now reside in Redondo Beach. My first CD, "If U Want," was released in 2002. My second, "Rise," was released in 2004. Both are currently out of stock.
Genres aren't too important to me; I listen to a wide assortment of music and this variety is reflected in the music that I make. I started off as an MC, but now I'm experimenting with different vocal styles and assuming production responsibilities, making beats and melodies in addition to dropping rhymes. The result is a fusion of different musical styles, a sort of shapeshifting Neo-Classical Rock-Hop. A friend of mine recently described my music as "Death Blues." I kind of dug that.

Though I am generally a solo artist, I also like having my friends collaborate with me on songs. I've produced alongside Rigorous, DJ Goldrocc, and G. Ryder, and my buddy Brendan has played guitar on a few of my tracks too. The results are here for you to enjoy.
I'm currently working on a new CD. Feel free to download my songs, burn them, and share them with your friends. I don't really care about money. I just want to contribute something to the world at large, and music allows me to do that. Thanks for your time.
