ExhibitsPreviously on Display: B MOVIE MADNESSThis exhibition took a fun and thought provoking look at “B Movies” and their impact on our culture. Expressed through classic movie posters, movie props, music and more, the exhibit highlighted the many ways, subtle and obvious, in which “B Movies” have influenced everyday life. From visual and artistic influences, to musical and fashion trends, “B Movies” have become an intrinsic part of contemporary culture. We would like to extand our thanks for making this exhibit possible to Forrest Ackerman, Joe Moe, NBC Universal, History for Hire, Richard Del Belso, and Posteritati.Previously on Display: 6 DEGREES OF SEPARATIONThe Brea Art Gallery employed the concept that everyone is connected to each other in six steps or less. The process began with the selection of one artist. This first artist selected the second artist, who in turn selected the third artist and the process continued until an entire exhibition had been selected. With this selection process, "6 Degrees of Separation" highlighted the many different styles and mediums happening within a seemingly unconnected art scene, while showing there is a line of connection through the artworld.Previously on Display: THE MEDIAIncorporating a variety of artists and ideas, The Media presented a diverse view on the subject. Please watch the video for the director's statement. This exhibit included art from the following artists:Jean Michele Basquiat Keith Haring Twinart Chuck Feesago Roni Feldman Richard Hambleton Bill Mauldin Byron Spicer Tom Benedek Peter Tunney Cindy Shine Beth Gahan
