Whut?!!!!... Angry aggressive hard hitting rock and roll from a bunch of Shady Suburban Scumbags. Established in 2002 hailing from all over CHICAGO, ILLiNOIZE! Built from the ground up from pure power, the band is made up of musicians with experience in Chicago's local Punk, Hardcore and Metal scenes. The influence from former projects like Never Generation, Inexorus, and Shred has definabely helped Whut? to stand out apart from what your seeing and hearing in the music scene today. Originality, aggressiveness and live performances that blow away many of todays touring acts, Whut? is carving their path in a new direction.
With a few name and line-up changes from the start. The original 2 members consisting of Pervert and Philly D are still in place. The addition of vocalist J. Keen, along with strong bass playing by newest member Usha is bringing the music to a new level. The band is currently made up of Jeremy on vocals, Philly D on drums, Pervert on guitars, and Usha on bass.
Within the last couple of years countless shows have been played, over 10,000 demo cd's have been distributed through out the U.S. with a few over seas. All done by the band through their start up DIY company Scumbag Entertainment. Whut? Have been called by many the hardest promoting band in Chicago. The working class, grass roots type work ethic has helped in having an ever growing fan base, and packed shows ."...We've played with and for some of the best!" Playing opening slots for Hatebreed, Anthrax, Agnostic Front, GWAR, Dying Fetus, Fireball Ministry, Dio, Machine Head, Chimaira, Total Chaos, and Diecast, has helped showcase them to larger audiences. While relentless local shows ranging from metal to punk, hardcore to hip hop audiences with amazing bands such has HeXaH, Wookie Hangover, Wounds of Ruin, New Clear Threat, Smear Campaign, Stuck Underwater, Old Resolution, Diner's Club, and many more, the driving force behind the band along with the love of just playing music . At the present, Whut? is preparing to release their new 6 song E.P., "Through It All, We Stand Tall".
