About Me

Midnight Frost
Midnight Frost is a heavy metal band from New York and New Jersey. After 4 years in exile The rebirth of Midnight Frost has brought on a band that is much heavier and more focused then ever before. Fueled by the world around them. “We are not kids we know what life’s about”. Midnight Frost is a band to reflect the world today. New vocalist Lauren is busy writing new lyrics for the old songs and for some new ones that Midnight Frost has been working on using file sharing. The plan is to have some new songs written by the end of the winter and hopefully get to do some recording and playing with our full band this summer.
Please come back some time to see how we have progressed.

The History of Midnight Frost. I became the bass player in Midnight Frost back in January of 1992. We played covers and played some bar shows at The Loft, Shakers, The Boulevard in central NY area with bands like Atomic Playground, Nemeses & Sweet Cheetah. When Midnight Frost fell apart in 93 or 94 I went to play bass with Delirium . Delirium was another cover band. Steve Call - guitar/singer and Jason Cooper-drummer. I quickly got the name changed to Requiem and moved my brother Jon to rhythm guitar. We played mostly Metallica covers and about four original songs. We played a lot but only played one party and Jason left because he found God and Steve & I liked to through in an F-word now and then. My old Midnight Frost drummer played with us for like five days and that was the end of Requiem. Throughout our time in Requiem Jon and I began having more fun playing music with our friend we knew from our NJ high school Jeff Olimpaito. Jeff would come up two or three times a month to drink, ride ATV’s, hunt and play Jasons' drums. When Jason sold his drums a year later Jeff decided that he would buy his own. With Jeff on drums I would play guitar and or sing (& play bass on our demos) and Jon would also play guitar. We became Delayed Green when we where sitting at a light in Flemington NJ talking about a band name and I saw the delayed green sigh and said lets call the band Delayed Green. It stuck! At one point we all lived in other states NY, NJ, & SC. But whenever we could we would play. Delayed Green had a handful of songs and no time to play with band members working, getting married, moving, schooling, building homes, having kids and stuff. In the beginning of 2007 we found another band using the Delayed Green name on myspace. They are from NJ no less. That was a very disappointing and angering discovery. Our thoughts where that they where playing shows and seemed to be an active band so what could we do about it. After some thought Jeff and I decided that Midnight Frost would become our band name. We have added a real singing voice and songwriter/lyricist Lauren to the band. Lauren is a very accomplished singer/songwriter and piano player. With the new found ambition after loosing our old name Midnight Frost has been busy writing new songs using file sharing and working on our studio that will someday be finished. Midnight Frost plans on playing together much more the next few years and getting some songs recorded. We all work and this is just for fun so it takes time.
