The core of Targeting Aorta began in 2003 as Riki Matthews (Guitar, Keys) and Rick Voisin (Percussion & Samples) began working on a vision for a band that would combine the rock music they loved in bands like A Perfect Circle and Muse with electronic elements found in more technologically oriented bands like Rammstein and Celldweller.Eighty shows across the Southeastern United States, over twenty-five songs, several line up changes and five years of hard-won experience have shaped the Targeting Aorta sound into the alternative experimental rock project that it is today. Rounded out by Robert Dupre (Vocals) and Daniel Eschete (Bass), Targeting Aorta moves into 2008 with the promise of the band’s debut album due in Summer/Fall and a live show unlike any other the band has presented in the past.
