During this time, I also became the CTO of his main company. With that, my new boss owns (all or in part) numerous other companies, one of which sponsors Kenny Bernstein's top fuel funny car. If you look on the back quarter panel of the car you'll see "Alpha Trade". That is one of our companies. You'll also see Alpha Trade on TV during the PBR (Pro Bull Riding) events, as well as during the New York Mets games. We spend millions each year in sponsorships. $750,000 alone goes to Kenny's funny car.Below is my ugly mug with Kenny at Sears Point Raceway during the Autolite Nationals. Because we are a major sponsor, we get VIP passes to all of the races so we can hang out with Kenny and his crew. This bad boy 69 Camaro is also one of my boss' toys that we built. It was an ex 8 second race car that we bought out of So Cal a couple of years ago and then completely stripped it down, put it on a rotisserie and did about $55,000 in body & paint work to it. It is as gorgeous underneath as it is on the top side.The fully aluminum interior was upholstered in black so it looks really nice, plus it cuts down on the noise. It has a narrowed 9" rear end with a 4 link suspension. It is all Strange suspension in the front-end.The engine is a custom built, 502 cubic inch BBC. No, it is NOT a wanna-be crate engine 502 with a bunch of stuff bolted on it. This one has all light weight, full solid roller valve train, polished rectangle port aluminum heads, Lunati rods and crank, JE pistons and is topped with a BDS 8-71 huffer driven at 15% over for approximately 15 - 17 Lbs of boost, plus a BDS electronic injection system.The tranny is a custom built TH400 with a trans brake and a 5,000 RPM stall converter. The chassis was NHRA certified for 7 second passes. It has a parachute mount hidden behind the license plate for when it is on the track, because most of the time, this blown gas monster from hell will be driven on the street!We aren't quite done with it yet, we still need to fit the custom made 4 inch cowl hood to it and do a few last minute cosmetic goodies. We'll put more pictures up as soon as it's done.
