About Me

Atcha Bar Guitarist and Producer, born in 1964 in Jerusalem, married to Sharon Hacohen Bar, a well known movie and theatre actress, and father to Tomer Bar, Jazz and classical pianist and composer, and to Nitsan Bar a gifted soccer player. Started studying classical guitar at a very young age, later switched to rock and jazz and in 1989 graduated the "Musician Institute" in Los-Angeles. Among his teachers were Joe Diorio, Scott Henderson, Peter Sprague, Bob Magnusson and others. Atcha Bar Performed Produced and recorded with various rock and jazz artists, among them Miki Gavrielov, Gali Atari, Yankale Rotblit, Avi Adrian, Yorai Oron, Eitan Itskovits, Jess Koren and many more. In 1991 established with Ittai Rosenbaum, The "Tararam" recording Studio. Since 1997 Atcha is the manager of the Yellow Submarine music center in Jerusalem – a non profit organization founded by the Jerusalem Foundation, devoted to developing and supporting music in Jerusalem. Among his activities Atcha had produced the tribute night for songwriter Yaacov Rotblit for the 1999 Israel festival and produced for singer-songwriter Merav Simantov, Amir Klugman, Yellow Submarine Ensemble and many more. In 2006 Atcha founded the first international Jerusalem Jazz Festival that hosted: Slide Hampton, Eddie Henderson, Billy Harper, Antonio Hart,Al Foster, Eli Degibri and more...
