Influences: Torah is my ultimate guide to every part of life. Torah also encourages us to benefit from the good things in the world, and so, some of my musical influences, amongst others, are: Bird, John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Pat Metheney, Charlie Mingus, John Zorn, Roman Kunsman Z"L, Zohar Fresco, Bill Evans, Eurepean 80's pop music, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Michael Brecker, Israeli music, Jewish music. in general i feel that my music is highly influenced by my life and by life in general, as probably every musician is. i believe that playing music is an art form that is a bit different than the other art forms. especially "jazz". it is more abstract, less tengible, and so it can reach higher spiritual levels. what i would like to do in my music is to reach these places in me and in the listener. i think that music that doesn't aim for the soul ("Neshama") is not furfilling its full potential... and so, i truly believe that music has powers to make a real positive difference in people's lives. i pray to G-D that He should allow me and my friends to succeed doing that. Amen.
