Nelson Sobral, nasceu em Lisboa.
Estudou na Escola De Jazz De Lausanne - Suiça. É Licenciado em Bateria pelo Percussion Institute of Technology – P.I.T.
Em 1998 foi Co-Fundor da MUSICLAND EJMAM.
Desde 2001 que é Endorser MAPEX Drums e MEINL Cymbals, realizando inumeros Workshop..s e Seminários em Portugal. Integrou a Musicland/ Meinl/Mapex Workshop Tour Portugal, a Mapex World Workshop Tour com Gregg Bissonette, a Meinl World Workshop Tour com Thomas Lang e mais recentemente esteve presente no Musicland Drummer Festival.
Nelson tem igualmente participado em inúmeras “Tours†e trabalhos discográficos com os mais variados Artistas do Rock/ Pop, Hip Hop e Jazz Português.
Actualmente encontra-se em digressão com a UJB – URBAN JAZZ BAND.

Nelson Sobral was born in Lisbon. Has Studied at the Jazz School of Lausanne – Switzerland, and graduated from PIT-Musicians Institute in 1995.
In 1998 Co-founded the MUSICLAND EJMAM.
Since 2001 Nelson has been endorsed by Mapex Drums and Meinl Cymbals making inumerous drum Worckshops and Clinics in Portugal. Has participated on the Musicland/ Meinl/Mapex Workshop Tour Portugal, on the Mapex World Workshop Tour together with Gregg Bissonette, on the Meinl World Workshop Tour together with Thomas Lang and on the previous Musicland Drummer Festival.
Nelson has participated in many recording sessions and tours with Artists going from the Rock/Pop, Hip Hop and Jazz.
At this moment he is touring with the UJB – Urban Jazz Band.
