Influences: I’m influenced by whatever is around at the time and moves me. That might be a hook, a vocal, a track or some specific production quality. I’m notoriously unfaithful to bands; I’m just a sucker for a good song. I’ve tried to think of acts I particularly like and thought if I could remember them without thinking too hard then they would make up my list, but I’m sure I’ve made some major music faux pas by missing out someone dripping in obscure greatness. So here they are, in no particular order:Clash, Buzzcocks, Gary Numan, Chic, Funkadelica, Sly Stone, Temptations, any Motown, Sugarhill Gang, XTC, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Tupac, Dr Dre, Ice Cube, Cypress Hill, Cardigans, Chemical Brothers, Bob Dylan, Air, Lemon Jelly, Sugababes, Yello, Nina Simone, Beastie Boys, Benny Benassi, Damian rice, Carpenters, Elvis, Goldfrapp, Gorillaz, Happy Mondays, Ian Dury, Serge Gainsbourg, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Francoise Hardy, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, King Curtis, Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed, New Order, Primal Scream, Squeeze, Death in Vegas, Fedde Le Grand, Glen Campbell, that kind of thing....
