My name is...my name is Mark Renman. Seems like I'm on this french thing. Don't know why; I've always been a bit of a francophile but I've spent very little time there. I have a long standing admiration for Charlotte Gainsbourg, as yet unrequited.................................................. ................................................ ............................................................ ..................................................... I have a love hate relationship with music. Sometimes i think it's a curse and other times a thing of such simple obvious beauty. Either way I seem compelled to make it and hopefully reflect the beautiful curse as authentically as possible. ............................................................ ....................................................... ............................................................ ....................................................... I’ve played music live from a young age, bass being my weapon of choice. With a band I achieved some backyard success but became quickly disillusioned with the recording industry and the fact that my band was shit. Making music on my own is better, although I always like to hear from vocalists who wish to express themselves and most of them do... ............................................................ ...................................................... ............................................................ ...................................................... I like european electro music and all manner of dance music but it was not always thus. Growing up with country music and pop I have developed a deep appreciation of song structure, melody and composition. The music I make then I consider songs rather than tracks.
