Birth Name: Udo Kierspe
He was born on October 14th, 1944, in Cologne, Germany, during WW II. His Mother asked to have more time with her newborn, so he was not returned to the Nursery that night. The hospital was bombed that evening, leaving Udo and his Mother the only survivors.
He then moved to Britain at the age of 18, to better learn the English language. While there, he took some acting courses, and landed his first role as a Gigolo in the film "Road to St. Tropez" (1966) His first real hit was his role in "Hexen bis aufs Blut gequaelt". The film was rated "V" for violence, and ticket buyers were even given vomit bags as they entered the theater.
What really set Kier on his way to Cult status were two films, directed by Paul Morrissey, "Flesh for Frankenstein" and "Blood for Dracula". Kier's remembers a scene from "Frankenstein" in which he had to pull organs out of a prop dummy. The organs were actual animal organs, and had been left on set for many hours. His memory of the Smell of these organs is still very strong, today.
In the 1070's and 1980's he had quite a few films in Europe, including "Suspiria", "LuLu", "The Blood of Dr. Jekyll". In many of these films, his voice is dubbed over with someone else's voice. His breakthrough to the American audience came with his role as Hans in "My Own Private Idaho". He teamed up with Keanu Reeves again in a few other Movies, including "Johnny Mnemonic" and "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues". He has had many other roles in American cinema, in movies such as "Barb Wire", "Ace Ventura, Pet Detective", and "Blade" and "Armageddon".
Spanning a 30 year career, Udo still continues to make films today, and still admits horror is one of his favorite genres of Film, and he also loves to play the "Bad Guy" in movies, because Evil truly has no boundaries.

This is only a Tribute Page

I have been receiving several messages addressed to Udo, and I thought it was only fair to tell everyone that this is NOT Udo Kier behind this page. I merely set up this page because I was dishearten...
